Dogs:

For susceptible infections:
a) 11 - 33 mg/kg PO q8h (Aronson and Aucoin 1989)
b) 22 mg/kg PO q8h; administer with food if GI upset occurs (Vaden and Papich 1995)
c) 10 - 30 mg/kg PO q8h (Riviere 1989)
d) 30 mg/kg PO q12h (Jenkins 1987a)
e) For Staph. osteomyelitis: 30 mg/kg PO q12h (Ford and Aronson 1985)

Cats:

For susceptible infections:
a) 11 - 33 mg/kg PO q8h (Aronson and Aucoin 1989)
