A characteristic of an animal that is present at birth. It may be inherited or induced by events that occur during pregnancy. Present at birth, May or may not be inherited from parents and may or may not be passed on to off-spring, A defect that is present at birth. The defect may either be inherited or be caused by something during gestation. Present at birth. May be hereditary or acquired during gestation.
