Doses - FLUOXETINE HCL

Dogs: Dog

For the adjunctive treatment of behavior disorders (see Indications above):
a) 1 mg/kg PO once daily (Marder 1991)
Monitoring Parameters - 1) Efficacy; 2) Adverse Effects; including appetite (weight)
Client Information - Because there has not been widespread use of fluoxetine in dogs and its adverse effect profile and efficacy have not been yet determined, clients should be briefed on the "investigational" nature of this compound and advised to report any abnormal findings immediately.
