Ringer's solution

Ringer?s solution does not contain lactate. It contains a higher concentration of chloride compared to lactated Ringer?s solution. Ringer?s solution is considered an acidifying solution. This does not mean that it can cause metabolic acidosis, but it can assist a patient who has a metabolic alkalosis correct their own acid base abnormality.
