Active Ingredient Benzalkonium chloride

Pro-Tect Hot Spot Medication for dogs is formulated to be effective for the treatment of skin inflammations. Specifically kills staphylococcus intermedius; bacteria most commonly associated with "Hot Spots" on dogs. Also, treats dogs for the secondary skin infections caused by viral, fungal or bacterial organisms. Pro-Tect Hot Spot is an effective first aid treatment for superficial cuts, scrapes, and abrasions. Best of all , Pro-Tect Hot Spot contains no alcohol and is a non-stinging formula.
Symptons of Hot Spots: Hot Spots are usually accompanied by incessant rubbing, scratching, and biting due to intense itching. Other signs are moist reddened areas, hair loss, and flaky skin. Hot spots are usually warm to the touch.

Directions for Use: Trim the hair around the sore. Wash the area with mild soap and water, rinse and pat dry. Apply Pro-Tect Hot Spot to affected area. Does not require dabbing on with a cotton ball. Do not use on puppies under 6 weeks of age.
