DIRECTIONS FOR USE
Chem-Star IO-Soft 1000 Plus 10 is formulated to be used full strength as a post-milking teat
dip to aid in the prevention of the spread of mastitis-causing organisms.
Directions For Teat Dipping
Pre-Dipping: Teats should be free of dirt and debris. If washing is required, use an appropriate
udder wash solution and thoroughly dry the teats and udder with a single-service towel. Dip
teats with an approved Chem-Star dip and allow proper contact time. Wipe teats dry before
attaching the milker unit.
Post-Dipping: Immediately after each cow is milked, dip the teat in undiluted Chem-Star IO-Soft 1000 Plus 10 . Allow to air dry. Ideally a fresh solution should be used for each
animal, but never use a solution which has become dirty or contains visible sediment. Dip
cups should be emptied and cleaned on a regular basis as part of routine wash-up after each
milking, or if they become contaminated during milking. Do not pour "used" dip back into
the original container. Do not turn cows out in freezing weather until Chem-Star IO-Soft 1000 Plus 10 is completely dry.
With freshening cows, begin dipping teats twice daily for about 10 days before calving.
