For susceptible infections:
a) 11 - 25 mg/kg PO q8h (Papich 1988)
b) 10 - 50 mg/kg q8h PO (Greene 1984)
c) For resistant Staph. infections: 10 - 20 mg/kg PO tid-qid (Morgan 1988)
d) 10 - 25 mg/kg PO q8h (Ford and Aronson 1985)
e) 27.5 - 33 mg/kg PO q8h (Aronson and Aucoin 1989)
f) 11 - 55 mg/kg PO q8h (Kirk 1989)

Cats:

For susceptible infections:

Client Information - Unless otherwise instructed by the veterinarian, this drug should be given onan empty stomach, at least 1 hour before feeding or 2 hours after. Keep oral suspension in therefrigerator and discard any unused suspension after 14 days. If the suspension is stored at roomtemperature it should be discarded after 7 days.
