Animal Care Unlimited is a full-service animal hospital and boarding facility with over 30 professional and support staff members. It is centrally located, and convenient to the Dublin, Columbus, Hilliard and Powell communities. The practice happily welcomes dogs, cats, birds, reptiles, all types of small mammals and even some primates! With the collective unparalleled expertise of their staff and a modern, in-house laboratory, they are able to provide comprehensive surgical, medical and critical care for your pet, whatever the species. The hospital have proudly achieved and maintained the highest accreditation level awarded by the American Animal Hospital Association. Animal Care Unlimited, under the direction of Dr. Donald L. Burton, first opened its doors in 1986. The wisdom, vision, commitment and hard work of Dr. Burton and his staff paved the way to the present facility and helped them become one of the most respected practices in the area. They are pleased that several of the ‘founding staff members' of Animal Care Unlimited are still with the practice, their unwavering commitment to the health and well being of all animals now directing the present and future of the hospital.

On the hospital premises you will find the Ohio Wildlife Center, also founded by Dr. Burton. The Center is a private, non-profit educational organization committed to fostering awareness and appreciation of Ohio 's native wildlife. OWC is the only organization in Central Ohio that rehabilitates all species of injured and orphaned wildlife. OWC is always looking for volunteers.

S.W. I am blown away at the service I received from Animal Care Unlimited for my tiny little zebra finch. I noticed issues with my finch a few nights ago, called Animal Care Unlimited the next day, and they got me an appointment in less than 48 hours. Dr. Olsen saw my little bird and gave her an X-ray to rule out several causes of my bird’s issues. She was so gentle and caring while handling her, and I truly felt comforted with how she treated her. She gave a tiny little shot to my bird and went over a basic care plan for us, and we go back in a week for a follow-up. I feel so much better about my finch—I felt sick over my poor babe’s condition until today. Also, I was delightfully surprised at the cost. I was expecting to spend hundreds of dollars, and it ended up costing under $200–well worth the relief I feel now. Dr. Olsen answered all my questions and was incredibly polite as well. I have dogs and other birds and have moved around and been in and out of multiple vet clinics, and I was genuinely impressed with everything at Animal Care Unlimited. Beautiful facility, welcoming staff, and amazingly knowledgeable avian staff! Thankful to have this place so close to my home!

N.B. We have used animal care unlimited for the past year and a half for regular boarding for our bunnies and their annual vet visits. This place is just amazing, so well organized, clean and friendly! Everyone at ACU is extremely loving and sweet. They take very good care of our bunnies and I am so grateful that this place exists in my town!

P.M. Animal Care Unlimited has been great to us over the years. They have always been very caring about our pets and have a broad range of expertise - making it so we can take our normal pets and exotic pets to the same location. Over the years they have helped us with snakes, ferrets, reptiles, as well as our dogs and cat.. The only downside I see is that they can be a slightly more expensive than some other vets but when you compare the quality of care that cost is negligible. We have always appreciated them and continued to see them even after we moved some distance away.

Staff are so friendly and helpful and are quick to answer any questions or concerns I have. Dr. Jodi has been amazing in the care and surgery for one of my ferrets. A.C. During the 5 years my teenage son had his leopard gecko, we had repeated 5 star experiences at Animal Care Unlimited. From the receptionist, to the vet techs, to the vets, everyone was friendly and kind. The vet techs listened well and were gentle when handling the gecko. The vets were knowledgeable and patient with answering questions and explaining options when we had a health issue to handle. I can't say enough good things about this place. If you have an exotic pet, you'll want to make this vet yours.

D.L. Great caring and knowledgeable people who love your pet as much as you do. Our 7 year old dachshund was ill and was quickly diagnosed with pancreatitis and given wonderful care over 3 days and was back to playing with our two Jack Russell puppies by the end of the week.

S.S. This place is beyond awesome. I have taken many stray or abandoned wild animals and birds here. They do everything they can to save them. They will also let you know if the animal does or does not make it. Please give them a donation if you take an animal in for their care. They do such good work but on a shoestring budget!

A.S. This place was absolutely great. My husband and I recently rescued a bearded dragon from some owners that, unfortunately, didn't know what they were doing. Usually we're pretty good with this sort of stuff but this time we were absolutely stumped on how to get his pores unclogged, thus a vet visit. The vet was fast and efficient and took great care to not harm our pet. On top of all that the treatment was much less expensive then we thought it would be, only
