We Love Senior Pets!
Dogs and cats over the age of 7 are seniors and need special attention. They are at risk for development of arthritis, diabetes, cancer, and other serious medical conditions. Often these things come on gradually and early signs may be difficult to detect. To keep your senior pets feeling their best, and with you as long as possible we recommend examinations every 6 months and regular laboratory screening to detect changes early.

R.K. Brought my new puppy to see them from Chicago because of their reputation. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable. Our puppy doesn’t mind going in and they do a fantastic job with her. All of the treatments are a discussion and questions are welcomed with educated answers. Estimates and forms for surgeries are emailed ahead of time making things super easy and convenient for drop off. No worry about feeling rushed or like you may want to ask more questions. Love that Dr Mackenzie is so kind and truly has exceptional skills working with all sorts of animals. Our pets deserve the best as they are part of our family and this clinic does an exceptional job at including us in theirs. D.H. We are from Pennsylvania but found ourselves in Menomonee Fall for 10 days as my wife had to place her mother in a memory care facility.. On Wednesday morning Peaches developed a ulceration on her side that looked really nasty. My brother-in-law had used this Animal Clinic in the past with good results.. We called in the morning and we were able to get an appointment 2 hours later (they had a cancellation). We had an amazing experience with Dr. Mackenzie. We spent over an hour and a half at the Clinic as multiple tests and x-rays were performed. I am sure that we well exceeded the time for the canceled appointment, but we were treated like we were their only patient that day.. Their compassion and medical expertise was just what we needed at this critical time. They got her in traveling condition and we left that day for the long drive back to PA. She is currently doing extremely well.. Their portal made it easy for us to print all reports and provide them to our local vet at home.. Their facilities are amazing and modern. I had never before seen an exam table that starts at floor level then elevates. Peaches had no issues using this "lift".. It is rare to find the right people at exactly the right time. We were so fortunate to have found these guys.. I would recommend the Animal Clinic in Sussex without reservation.

S.W. I’ve always been treated great by doctors and staff. I started going there because of convenience but I stayed because of that. I have a very fearful rescue dog and with the help from the staff and the doctors she has done well with each visit. I guess the only thing I dislike is that there prices are more than other vets. I know it’s Sussex but they should be a little more competitive with the price of their services.
