The doctors far exceed Oregon’s requirement of 30 hours of Continuing Education (CE) in each two-year period. Each doctor attends at least one major veterinary conference annually which provides all the required hours, and then proceeds to attend many weekend and evening courses to keep current on advances in veterinary medicine (currently, the amount of knowledge regarding veterinary medicine is DOUBLING every 18 months).

M.M. This is the first vet in years that my dog Harley has been comfortable to be around. When I rescued her she was terrified of the vet and it has always been a very stressful experience for her. When we pulled up to dogwood she walked right in! Usually it takes 3 or 4 people to get her out of the car. The vet is practical and always willing to work with you to create a plan based around your abilities without making you feel bad about it. I’ll never go anywhere else for my dog.

S.M. We started taking our kitten here for routine care because they're close, easy to schedule and super nice. I've had great experiences every time I've had interactions, and I feel their team has the best interest in my cats welfare.

Dr. Hughes is caring, seems to have a bond with animals and shows a lot of concern for his patients (I am referring to the cats and dogs) as it should be. The staff is responsive, caring and knowledgeable. I have not had that overall experience with other pet hospitals.

L.S. Gresham Animal Hospital's receptionist, Peggy, was unable to locate one of my cat's records even though I had the receipt. So, I brought both kitties to Dogwood. I LOVE this vet. First off, the receptionist is fabulous and everyone is super caring of your fur babies. Dr. Hughs is very thorough, knowledgeable and nice. I highly recommend Dogwood Pet Hospital for your veterinarian needs.
