We provide quality pet care for dogs, cats, birds, and also exotic animals including: ferrets, iguanas, snakes and other reptiles, rabbits, hamsters, pocket pets and many others.

E.A. The staff was very friendly from the minute we walked in to the minute we walked out. Dr. Patton was very knowledgeable, answered all my questions, and addressed any concerns. He and the tech took the time to explain everything thoroughly. It was such a pleasant experience, it made the struggle of getting my cat into the carrier worth it.

M.S. They take excellent care of your animals and the vets are very experienced! They have so many extra accreditations that they aren’t required to have which shows they really care - they are more expensive than some other places but you’re really paying for quality, it’s worth it!

S.S. I always love taking our babies to the vet. From the time you call until they say goodbye when you leave, they treat your fur babies like you would treat them. We have many for babies, and Animal Care has taken care of all of them starting with our chocolate lab who they saw as a puppy. And continued seen her until the day we had to put her down. you cannot ask for a better vet. they are always so sweet, so caring, and are always there when you need them. Our babies are always so excited to go to the vet. We love Dr Patton and the full staff.

T.H.J. The Vets, techs and other staff are wonderful. They are knowledgeable and caring. My pets always receive excellent care. There are a couple Animal Clinics closer to my hone but I choose to make the 1hr 15 min drive to ACA because I am confident about the care my pets will receive. I highly recommend this facility.

A.K. No matter when I go to Animal Care Associates with one ( or more) of my pets, we are always greeted warmly, and gotten the best care! It doesn’t matter which vet or vet tech helps us; a great and competent group of animal lovers, all of them! Patience, no matter how many times our dog jumps on them or our cats hiss! I have never regretted using them for our veterinary care.

C.S. We took our cat Kytoko in for a spay, the staff were very kind and helpful even at their opening time (we had an appointment! ), came back later that day to get her and while they weren't having the best day, they were still very kind and courteous! Little pricey so maybe not a great budget choice, but if you want to give your pet some of the best care in the area(they even do lizards! We took our beardie in! ) You can do no better than Animal Care Associates!

A.C. Dr Patton is phenomenal with my exotic bird! He is gentle, talks to Solomon to calm him as much as possible and thorough with exams. Solomon does not hate me so much for taking him to the vet anymore!

E.H. I found an injured Wood Thrush at our door this morning, having lost its tail in an apparent struggle with a cat. After wrapping it in a soft cloth, storing in a cat carrier with seed and water and covering the carrier with a towel, I took the bird to Animal Care Associates. They were very prompt, kind and courteous. There is no charge to take in an injured animal, but they do rightly ask for donations if you can. Ironically, I got nowhere with my local DNR office, but another State agency I called in error gave me the phone number of a wildlife rescue in Eastern WV. It was only through them did I find the local liaison, Animal Care Associates in Charleston, WV. I received a free cat comb from their lovely office, filled with animal artwork of all types and a beautiful aquarium. I applaud them heartily.
