    Cleveland Park East Animal Hospital is a leading provider of veterinary care in the community. The scope of care provided by the veterinarians and health care team includes a broad range of services for pets, equine and food animals. The mission of our hospital is to fulfill the needs of our clients by providing quality health care services through a responsive, professional staff with emphasis on individual attention and commitment to our clients, their animals, and our community.     Services

    Bathing
    Treat your pet to a luxurious bath. Our special, cleansing baths remove dirt, debris and that doggie pet odor – your pet will feel fresh and revitalized. If scratching is a problem, our medicated baths contain soothing agents that stop the itching. Services also include nail trim and ear cleaning.

    Behavioral Medicine
    Illness doesn't always have a physical cause. Our team of qualified veterinarians can help determine the cause of such disorders as separation anxiety and obsessive behavior, and then develop a treatment regimen for the client.

    Birds
    Providing proper medical care for birds requires specialized training and skills. We employ staff veterinarians who possess experience in the care and treatment of birds. Our staff veterinarians can advise you as to the dietary, maintenance, hygiene and medical needs of your feathered friend.

    Blood Transfusion
    We maintain a supply of blood for all types of pets in case of emergency. The blood is collected from donor pets that live with their owners, and all blood is carefully screened for disease.

    Boarding
    Pets are like our children – we feed, nurture and lavish attention on them. Our highly qualified kennel attendants do the same when you can't be there. We provide tender loving care (such as brushing and cuddling), and supervised outdoor playtime to keep them happy and active.

    Day Care
    Is your pet unhappy or lonely while you're at work? Give your companion the personal attention he or she deserves throughout the day. We offer the same TLC and playtime offered to our longer-term guests.

    Dental Care
    Regular professional cleaning is important to maintaining your pet's teeth. We use modern and safe ultrasound to clean each tooth thoroughly - above and below the gum line. Dental technicians polish teeth to create a smooth, lustrous tooth surface more resistant to plaque buildup. Fluoride treatments help strengthen enamel and reduce tooth sensitivity. Advanced dental care is available, including root canals, caps and braces.

    Emergency and Critical Care
    In any emergency, seconds count. Our experienced staff is backed up by our mobile resuscitation unit, stocked and equipped to administer the ABCs of basic life support – Airway, Breathing, Circulation/Cardiac compressions. Emergency care is offered during regular business hours. In addition, we use the services of a local, fully staffed emergency center.

    Hospice / Euthanasia Services
    Saying goodbye to a long-time friend is painful. We work with clients to ensure their pet's comfort and dignity. Services include taking care of the remains as directed by the client.

    House Calls
    Our mobile health unit responds to house calls if you are unable to bring your pet to the clinic.

    Immunization and Wellness Care
    We strive to prevent illness whenever possible. The time and effort invested in Wellness programs has rewards for both pets and owners. Our Wellness programs are designed specifically for your pet and include: Comprehensive physical exam; internal parasite testing; heartworm and flea control; vaccination program; spay and neuter package; and specialized blood tests for all life stages.

    Internal Medicine

    A.M. Had great service here. I had to make a weekend appointment and my usual vet is closed on the weekend. They were really easy to schedule with. I arrived to my appointment with my big baby Great Pyrenees and there were 2 other dogs in the waiting room that saw my dog and got excited and they got very vocal and started to make my dog nervous. They moved those dogs into a room to make my dog more comfortable. All in all I loved their facility and even though I have never been there before they were extremely nice. I am considering moving all of our pets to this location for future services. Thank you all for taking care of my best friend.

They are also very communicative and respond to questions and concerns with care. Vet care is expensive, so it's great when my dog is not only cared for appropriately, but it is done with such extraordinary kindness.
    A.D. Very nice facility, friendly staff. They take great car with the dogs, even the difficult ones. One of my dogs is very finicky and he really liked the vet tech who sat on the floor to get him comfortable with her. They don't try to oversell you on anything, just give you the information and let you decide what is best. Prices are also very reasonable. This is definitely our vet of choice for our two pups.
    J.H. My father in law had to put his dog Dottie to sleep Wednesday, after losing his wife (Dottie’s mama) two years ago. We could tell he immediately regretted not getting her ashes back to spread them with Dottie’s mom at Pretty Place. I sent in a message Thursday night to see if there was a chance Dottie hadn’t been taken yet - and she was still there! Jill called me first thing Friday morning to let me know she changed the cremation so we could get her ashes. I know us giving him the ashes will give him some peace as he visits Pretty Place.
