Gilbert Veterinary Hospital is proud of theri longevity in the community caring for animals. The hospital have been located just south of the corner of Ray and Gilbert Roads for over 30 years. Dr. Beverly Scott joined the hospital in 1978, which was owned by Dr. John Woods, and bought the practice in 1979. Gilbert Vet was the first and remains one of the few privately owned small animal hospitals in Gilbert. Gilbert Veterinary Hospital is an AAHA accredited hospital, which means we have passed the stringent standards required by the American Animal Hospital Association. The hospital have 7 doctors and 25 staff members who provide professional, compassionate care for your special dog and cat companions.

A.W. Thank you Dr Balke & the vet tech who helped our sweet Kamina. We were worried sick about him and had many sleepless nights with him. Thank you for being patiently straightforward about what needs to happen in order for our boy to feel better AND for loving on our cat while helping him. We felt listened to and could immediately see that they were going to properly, lovingly AND safely take care of our Kamina. Thank you again!

N.P. I could write about this place for hours! I’ve been going here for 10 years and they have saved two different dogs’ lives on two separate occasions. A Boxer dogs’ health can be tricky and they were kind and patient enough to help guide me through the tough times.. In short: Great staff, knowledgeable doctors. Without a doubt, my animals live a fuller, healthier life because of their guidance.

They approach every patient as if they are all they’ve got on they calendars for the day. Perspectives are real and thoughtful, based on medicine and experience. They bring humor to their practice - and, offer dignity and grace in those final life moments with our fur family. We followed Dr. P there, and she’s still our favorite!
