Cornwallis Road Animal Hospital was established in the 1950's and has been under the same ownership since 1978. We are a full service AAHA 4-year accredited hospital and provide comprehensive healthcare including dentistry, radiology, soft tissue and orthopedic surgery, laser surgery, geriatrics, and EKG to dogs, cats, pocket pets (gerbils, hamsters, rats, guinea pigs, rabbits, etc.), ferrets as well as birds and reptiles. For added convenience, we provide drop-off service allowing the clients to leave their pet for treatment/services, to be picked up again later in the day. Geriatric patients, or patients with multiple health problems, can board at the hospital and be under direct supervision of a veterinarian.

Cornwallis Road Animal Hospital is a member of the Triangle Pets Emergency Treatment service after hours hospital. This means that our patients can receive treatment after hours and on weekends at a reduced rate. We are also a member of the American Animal Hospital Association (AAHA) and have been since the 1950's. AAHA membership requires adherence to strict standards and we have continually met or exceeded these, giving us their highest accreditation.

They always show how much they care about your dog(s) and their health. B.F. We love the staff and doctors here so much! I have been bringing my cat and dog here for the last 4 years, and they take such great care of them. The phone staff are always so kind, and they were able to squeeze my dog in on a Saturday when they were swamped for an emergency visit and just did an overall amazing job. 10/10 recommend them!

B. It's hard to explain my relationship to Cornwallis Road Animal Hospital at this point. I have been going to them with my family pets at this point for something like 2 decades?! ? Everything from my family pets growing up in the area, to the cat I got when I first moved out after college, to the 2 cats and dog I care for now with my wife. This vet facility has been there for all the joy, love, and pain that comes with loving, caring for, and sadly losing pets these past years. Even in the worst of times I have never felt that this vet clinic has done anything but provide the best care possible to my furry friends. Jeffer and Edwards have been absolute lifesavers in caring for my current pets and I can never thank them enough. At this point the only way I see myself changing vets is leaving the area completely, otherwise I will be returning here with all my current and future pets. Absolutely recommend this clinic, 5/5. Best vets ever.

I had an experience that was a bit confusing at the practice and I was unhappy, however I am changing my review and updating to 4 stars because Becca, the office manager took the time to discuss the details of the visit, answered all of the questions I had, jotted down notes to give feedback to staff and advised that she would follow up on a couple of the questions that she was unable to answer during the call. I really appreciated that and feel much better about bringing my fur baby here. Thanks Becca, for your patience and understanding!

A.M. We really appreciate this clinic. Once you find a doctor you like, you keep coming back. Same for the fur babies.. This is a very gentle facility, allowing you in with your pet and to help keep them calm. The goal here is to keep anxiety low for your pets. While our cats are still very anxious, it does really help. They encourage you to hold and/or pet them to help calm your fur babies.. Also, we've had pretty good communications with them. They help us when on the call and are great about calling back. Online communications can be a bit slower, but still within 1-2 days.. Prices are reasonable as well. We've never felt pressure to put our pets through expensive and imvasive treatments. Unlike other places that can be predatory, the diagnoses are realistic. We appreciate the treatment options given and never feel pressured with scare tactics. Instead, we feel like our pets are getting comprehensive care from with plenty of guidance to take care of our pets.

R.S. I have been bringing my animals to this hospital for over 30 years and the service is always the same excellent! The staff Ashley. And Veterinarian were so friendly and knowledgeable. Great experience I would never go anywhere other than Cornwallis Road Animal Hospital. Goodness feels much better.

N.C. Recently moved from NYC to NC and as a dog mom I had to find a good vet for my pup. Cornwallis Road Vets are truly the best! Although we haven’t met personally I know they are loving and take good care of all their patients. They’re very understanding and always make time for their patients whether it’s for last minute appointments or simply responding quickly to emails. I highly recommend them to anyone with four legged children because after all, our pets become family and they deserve the best! Thank you Cornwallis vets and keep up the good work!
