C.S.B.Doctor Costa has the best heart for the field she is in, she knows her stuff and she's comfortable in her work. A big thank you to her and her team for providing top-notch services!
C.D.Although they don't normally take emergencies, they were able to squeeze me in quickly and help end the suffering of my cat. It was a hard process, and the staff was so accommodating and supportive during the process. When I get another pet, I will be sure to bring them here for care.
J.H.I don’t even know how to start expressing my gratitude to this amazing team! It all started with Trisha going above and beyond to get my Lab Molly scheduled and checked in right away when we got there. Trisha, I appreciate all your help! Dr. Susie took her time with my baby but made sure I was updated at all times. She went out of her way to help my pup right away. Her knowledge and care for animals really shows! Everybody in this office was super nice, not just to me, but especially to my dog. She got plenty of snuggles and attention which made her feel way more at ease as she is usually really uncomfortable going to the vet. The prices I was charged really blew me away, I was expecting 5-10 times more than I actually had to pay. This was my first experience with Spencer Springs Animal Hospital, I drove 3h to get here and don’t regret it one bit. If you care about your animal and want them to be in good hands, take them there. Amazing staff, everybody is super helpful and everybody made my dog feel loved. Thank you for everything!
A.S.Spencer Springs is a wonderful place to take your pets. The staff is caring and companionate. They really care what is best for your pets.
A.O.We've taken our Frenchie there since she was about 16 weeks old(now 6). We live kind of far now but still go there because they are the best. Other vets lead with pricing first which always rubs me the wrong way, while SSAH actually tries to figure out what's wrong which is why I'm there. Dr. Costa is her main vet, she's very good and I feel confident in her diagnoses/treatment choices. When they did an x-ray of her back she found something going on with her liver being small for her anatomy and possibly having shunts, and also referenced recent studies about guy bacteria affecting liver function and recommended pre/probiotics, and her bile acid tests came back perfect after that! Very impressed that she noticed that on the imaging as I believe she looked at the imaging on site, and it was completely unrelated. My dog isn't ever afraid to go in even though she's had multiple surgeries there, which lets me know they treat her well and with compassion. Only tough part is they are super busy, suffering from success I suppose. Either way, they are worth the wait, and all pets in the future will go there as well. She did have an emergency recently and required dental surgery and they were able to get her in the following morning so they will be there when you need them most. I've never had a bad experience here and highly recommend!
C.T.C.We have a new puppy that is about six months old now. His name is Sebastiane.. We recently had to take a trip out of town and were delighted to find out that this animal hospital does do boarding as well. We went on a tour of the boarding area and we’re delighted to find that there is a back doggy run.. When we got our puppy dog back after staying here for a week, he was in great shape, clean and I could tell there was some love involved in his upkeep.
T.Three of the hardest things to find, in my opinion, are a good primary care doctor, a good dentist, and a good vet. I decided to bring my dogs to Spencer Springs after hearing good things from a friend. My experience from start to finish was nothing less then perfect. The front office staff were beyond helpful over the phone and helping me set up my initial appointments as well as getting information and files set up ahead of time to make my check in seamless.. Once in the back, I was lucky enough to get Dr. Susie Costa. She is very thorough and cares for your pets as if they are her own. She is very straightforward and does not believe in over treatment and over vaccination unlike big-name vets like Banfield. I’m glad I came to Spencer Springs animal would completely recommend.
