The Animal Hospital of Nashua opened its doors on April 22, 1985. The Animal Hospital of Nashua embodies the "High tech, soft touch" approach. We work in conjunction with the Animal Medical Center of New England that is fully staffed every day of the week, around the clock. We have set the standards for veterinary excellence in the New England region and we continue to enhance our performance in achieving the optimal quality of life for each individual patient.

We will continue to listen to what our clients want and what our patients need. We are looking to add staff specialists in such areas as orthopedic surgery, dermatology, exotic medicine and alternative medicine. Our amazing staff of veterinarians constantly are educating themselves to keep them at the top of their form and are constantly looking for ways they can help the health and well being of our pet's lives.

    L. I can’t say enough about AHN. They were so kind and caring to me and my family during a 2 month span where we had to put both of our beloved family dogs to sleep. We are especially grateful to Dr. John, who showed immense compassion and patience while he explained to us what was wrong with Cassidy and ensuring we had all of the information we needed to make the right decision. I am forever thankful that Cassidy was his patient that day.
H.B. It was a pretty good hospital. Not sure what it's like now, since we moved to another state few years back. Some of our friends in the area are still happy to go there and some left for another practice. I guess YMMV.
M.C. While on vacation, my dog decided to try to befriend a porcupine It was awful. We had to come here for immediate help. The staff was so amazing and took control of the situation. We were out in an hour. They were wonderful. My husband and I want to thank them. And our dog was back to being himself the next day. Many thanks!
L.P. We had a feral colony of cats, from Dec 2020 to March 2021 we lost 5 of our cats due to old age. They were so compassionate and caring. We got a condolence card signed by the staff which made us sad and happy to have that type of vet who cared about our animals. It is one of the best things we did bringing our babies to them.
W.S. The main reason I'm leaving this review is, they wanted to charge us around $1600 - $1800 for a cremation after having our dog euthanized here last week! I wish I had seen the reviews before taking her here, I might have gotten a second opinion. Fortunately, our friend was with us and told us she thought that was quite high for a cremation. She had her dog put down in Massachusetts a couple of years ago for a fraction of the cost! Some people choose the burial route, so they had boxes there which they charged us $30 for. We took her out to the car in a box, and googled pet Crematorium. There are a couple in the area. We went to one 20 minutes away and they took us right away, and only charged us around$200! We were also able to get a paw print, along with a lock of hair and they put our dogs remains in a beautiful carved box. I hope this review saves someone money! Times are tough for a lot of people right now. I will say the attending Vet, and staff did seem compassionate.
E.S. We brought our yellow lab today with what seemed like lethargy, tremors, and a possible seizure. It seemed that perhaps she may have ingested something. Oddly (we thought), the vet said we had to call the ASPCA poison control line and report possible things she might have ingested, get a case number from the poison control center, and then the vet at the Animal Hospital of Nashua would call the poison control center to discuss treatment options. There may be a good reason for that way of doing things, but for us it felt like it could delay care to address a potential toxin.. That said, all the staff were caring and attentive. Unfortunately, due to staffing issues, the hospital closed and we were left with the difficult decision of taking her home before the issue was resolved/clear or transferring to another hospital. Hopefully they will be able to find more staff soon for this important resource. Nothing worse than having an emergency with any loved one!
R.D. Although the reviews are misleading, I have to say the ER department did a phenomenal job with my senior basset Herman he’s 14! His legs just kept buckling they were so informative with me on what they could do for him and somethings that they can’t provide in his neurological issues but the staff did everything for Herman and made sure he’s healthy enough for at home care kidneys, liver, white and red blood cells checked it all. I was a wreck but they put up with my calls, they were very compassionate and my sweet baby walked outside to me! His blood work was amazing. They gave me medications to get his infections under control and medication for his legs, I am soo happy I brought him to the Nashua animal hospital and putting him to sleep was not an option for me and not a suggestion from them. which was amazing that they cared about him like I do! Thank you so much to all the team members!
S.W. I've been a client of the Animal Hospital of Nashua for over 20 years now. Every pet I've had since the 90's has seen a doctor there. I moved out of Nashua in the early 2000's and thought, for my convenience, it was a good idea to try another vet closer to my home. It wasn't, no vet, no hospital, and no location is better than the Animal Hospital of Nashua. They care more, they treat better, they listen to your concerns and work with your opinions when it comes to the ultimate care of any pet. From Doctor Bishop, to Susan at the front desk, to Vickie in the office, they care about your babies AND they care about you.. All of these beautiful babies have been in their care..
