Sea Island Animal Hospital is a well-established, full-service, small animal veterinary hospital providing comprehensive medical, surgical and dental care.

We provide a broad spectrum of diagnostic procedures through in-house testing and the use of external laboratories. We also work closely with local practices when special diagnostic procedures are required. The facility includes a well-stocked pharmacy, in-hospital surgery suite, in-house x-ray and ultrasound capabilities, a closely supervised hospitalization area, and indoor boarding kennels with outdoor walking areas.

R.L. My Malti-poo suddenly started not being able to control his hind legs over the weekend. We watched over him hoped he’d get better. I called when Sea Island when they opened on Monday morning and was given a first available 3pm emergency/urgent appt. Within 1/2hr I got a call saying to bring him in ASAP because the Dr Bystrom reviewed her day’s schedule of appts. and wanted to see him sooner! What a relief! He hurt his back and had neuropathy but will get better with meds and quality care from Sea Island. And now I’ve decided all my pets will start going to Sea Island. I was going to another vet for their wellness care. But seeing how Dr. Bystrom showed a sense of urgency and priority for her patients has impressed me and filled me with gratitude and appreciation.

S.S. Dr. Murray has taken such wonderful care of my aged cat, Snow-bell, and is so thorough and informative, I appreciate her so much! Some veterinarians I have found can be a bit discriminatory against my cat at times because of his age, his raw diet, the fact that in his youth he was a completely outdoor cat, or just dismiss some of my concerns for his health based on whatever, or nothing - but not Dr. Murray. She is so sweet and encouraging and talked about things we can think about doing if need be later on, procedure or test-wise, which I am grateful for because I want my kitty to be around as long and as healthy as possible! God Bless Dr. Murray at Sea Island Animal Hospital, their vet technicians, and all veterinarians who take care of my animals!

E.N. Recently we had to bring our newly adopted semi feral KitKat to have wound care and neutering as well as a full workup and shots galore. He wasn't too happy about the whole situation but the professional, loving staff as well as Dr. Fetterman did an incredible job treating this sweet baby with care and compassion. He wasn't an easy patient so kudos to the whole team.... get ready he's scheduled for a follow up in two weeks ? Hopefully he's a bit more mellow then. Cannot say enough positive things about Sea Island Animal Hospital. You're in good hands with them!

J.K. I impressed with behind the scenes - all the equipment, rooms for different situations & all the space that they have. Nice to see that the children had plenty to do outside with games & petting zoo. Thank you for having the Girl Scouts both. Having 3 kitties I would have liked to see where they would stay for boarding. We had used the boarding previously 3 to 4 times in the four years we have lived in Beaufort. We probably would have used it more if Covid had not arrived for 2 years.

A.C. Sea Island Animal Hospital is the best place to take your pets. The staff is knowledgeable and courteous. Dr. Reynolds saw my little Maltese and made him feel very much at ease. I wouldn't take my dog any place else. I told my son and daughter-in-law about Sea Island Animal Hospital, they bring their dogs here too. Theu have everything your pet could need. I am hoping they can resume grooming services some day.

T. Setting up an appointment was easy. The follow up from the vet was perfect. They were very polite, professional, and handled my dog with care. They explained everything I had questions on throughout the whole visit. I would highly recommend going here for your pets health needs.

V.L. I've been bringing my dog to Sea Island Animal Hospital since he was a puppy and he loves going every single time. He might be a big baby when he needs to get shots or his nails trimmed but it's a great environment and the vets do an amazing job. I also love the PAW plan. It's around $30 a month and it truly helps in the long-run with vet bills.
