    • We are so thrilled to have our dog back to hiking and camping with the family.
    • ???? I then waited an hour and a half in my car for them to place us in a room.
    • I want to commend the office personnel, assistants and doctors at this office.

R.F. My dog was limping after a dynamic event. I took him here and we waited a long time, and it was as expensive as expected, but not super crazy or anything. The veterinary doctor that took us in looked like he was having a long day. I really felt for him. He did a thorough examination of my now old pup. At the end of the day, my dog's just getting older, but I really was so glad to have a place to take him during an emergency. Thanks for looking out for all our pets as best you can!
J.M. They handled the passing of my dog Milo with the utmost care, sensitivity and discretion. When the time came, they did their job incredibly quietly and professionally. There was a room that they reserve for end of life visits with a side door, that was a really big relief in terms of privacy and for those that need some air during heavy moments. My dog Milo was brought back from cremation much faster than I had anticipated, which was a really big deal to me. I appreciate VCA for making the worst day of a dog dad's life navigable.
A.B. I brought my 4 month old lab/heeler mix Nova in. Ariana and Dr. Tracey Wright we’re amazing at treating her! They answered every question and concern that I had and spent the time with me on administering medication for my girl! My girl contracted Parvo, although some cases end sadly, I’m happy to say that my pup pulled through! Thank you VCA! You guys are amazing!
H.B. I needed to take my cat in for a non-life threatening emergency, but to me it was nerve racking. My vets office couldn't see me and this is one of the places they suggested I try. I made the mistake of showing up at 5:00pm without calling first. So I suggest saving yourself some time and calling first just in case. They were unable to get me in at the time because all doctors were doing procedures and so they were not doing any intakes and suggested that I call back in a couple hours. However, the person I talked to on the phone offered to write down several other places I could try and ran them out to my car and even looked at my cat and talked to me for a moment which I really appreciated. She didn't have to take the time to do that, nor did I expect it, but she did. I did call the numbers she gave me but none of them panned out for various reasons. I ended up calling back at 7:00 and they told me I could head over at that time, but let me know it was going to be a 3 or 4 hour wait. From the moment I walked in to the moment I walked out it was 2 hours. Everyone that I interacted with from the people on the phone to the technicians, the people at the front desk, the doctor, everyone was so kind and compassionate. The entire time I sat there the phone did not stop ringing there was a constant hustle and bustle you could hear.. they were so incredibly busy. I'd also like to add, sitting in those rooms you can hear everything that is being said behind those doors and everything I heard them saying about the animals and the people that were concerned about them were compassionate and understanding. This is the second VCA hospital that I have taken my animals to on an emergency basis and I've been impressed both times. I have recently appreciated needing to have somewhere that you can take your fur babies when they need help, and I'm grateful that I have somewhere else I'm comfortable taking them if that need arises. Thank you.
B.B. We arrived with our foster pup Sully who had been really ill all day. They told us upon arrival that it would be a 4-5 hour wait. We waited about 2 hours in the car before we got moved to a room where we waited another 2 hours when we finally got to see the vet. I’m thankful that the estimated wait time was correct - it was long but they are one of the few emergency vets in the area. The two vets we worked with were so involved in Sully’s care and give us updated a few times a day. One of the vets communicated heavily with MedVet who had specialists who could preform the delicate surgery Sully needed. I’m so thankful for the vets here for caring for our girl like she was their own dog and for communicating so well with the specialists at the other hospital - it took a ton of stress off our shoulders. They also have visiting hours which is nice, especially since Sully spent 4 days there. I’d hands-down use Cottonwood Animal Hospital again!
C.P. We arrived at 10:30 pm with our energetic pup that jumped off our couch, and Dr. Neal (who was great) said he had broke all 4 metacarpals after an x-ray. Though the wait was long (3-4 hours), that was understandable as they seemed to have been very busy with other animals and caring for them. We were pleased with the service, compassion, and promptness of all the staff and the vet. They were honest and up-front about the costs before proceeding to do any procedures. The hospital was clean also. We felt like our puppy was in good hands.
C.P. Our puppy broke all 4 bones in his right paw. We had to wait awhile (as with any ER visit) but other than that, the service was really good.. Dr. Neal was exceptional and honest with the care of our pup. I appreciate the kind and diligent staff.
