The vets are good, vet techs are wonderful, but the front desk people are rude.

Southgate Veterinary Hospital has been proudly serving the Fargo-Moorhead area since 1994. We are a progressive small animal hospital, located in the southern part of Fargo, North Dakota.

We are proud to be a member of AAHA (American Animal Hospital Association). AAHA is a voluntary organization that we belong to. There are 3 AAHA hospitals in the F-M area and only 5 in the state of ND.

To be an accredited AAHA hospital, you have to demonstrate an exceptional level of care and service. We are inspected by an AAHA representative every three years, covering over 800 standards.
We believe that by being a part of AAHA, it helps us to offer you and your pet the highest level of care.

T.C. The very best! Haven’t been able to find a local vet since moving to Fargo but when an emergency arose & RRAH was limited to level 3 emergencies I was left feeling panicked & overwhelmed trying to get my baby in wherever would take her. ALL of the staff on shift were polite and understanding of the multiple reactive dogs (including mine) that were seen today. I had the best Dr. & my tech, Ali, was so sweet, reassuring and nonjudgmental. She really comforted my dog like she was her own. And the Dr. listened to all of my concerns, even the ones unrelated to her current issue. They make you fully aware of all costs up front and even provide options if you are needing something more affordable, while still providing the ultimate care for your pet. I will definitely be making them primary care for my dogs.

K.K.A. Great staff, appointments have always been on time, and my questions always get answered. Have been taking my cat here for a long time and I’ve never had anything but great service and quality pet care. I would definitely recommend to others.

D.D. Staff are always attentive to our pet's needs. They get us in to see our vet as soon as possible. The vetenarians are knowledgeable and compassionate with our pet and explain the issues related to the current illness or injury. Very professional staff.

E.I. My little Teddy has been going here for years. The staff is very nice & very compassionate. This unfortunate visit we had a diagnosis of torn ACLs but the staff took such great care of my fur child, and truly treated us like family.. They are only doing curbside now, so you come park and call the front office and they pick up the animal from your car, and bring them back out when done. Payment is done over the phone.. Hands down my favorite vet in town.
