Our dog loves this place ???? she loves the nurses, the doctors, and the treats.
They gave my 15 year old fur baby excellent care.
The staff are extremely rude and unprofessional.

In 1990, Animal Kind Veterinary Hospital was founded by Dr. Mark Gibson as a house call practice for pets from his house in Brooklyn. In April of 1991 the practice moved to 7th Avenue and 13th street in Park Slope. In May, 1995, the practice moved over to our state of the art facility at our current location where we have over 60 employees here to help you and your pet.

We are members of AAHA (American Animal Hospital Association) as well as AVMA (American Veterinary Medical Association), AAFP (American Association of Feline Practitioners), NYSVMA (New York State Veterinary Medicine Association), and NYCVMA (New York City Veterinary Medical Association).

In addition to our group affiliations we are an AAHA certified hospital. This means that we meet the high standards of the American Animal Medical Association. L.M. I love this place! I’ve moved to Manhattan I still commute to this office in park slope. The staff is SO patient and friendly with my very skittish dog and I’ve seen multiple vets here who are all very kind and knowledgeable. They’re very reachable over phone/email and even helped me manage an injury my dog had to his paw while I was out of town. Wait times in the office are also short. If you don’t know where to take your pets, take them here :).

E.M. Excellent care - we've been going to AK for over 25 years. Dr. Gibson and his staff are amazing especially Gloria working tge front desk. Monica is a Godsend with her grooming techniques and love for our Cece. Keep up the great work.

J.G. Other than the bill, which always seems too high for pet care, I was satisfied! I had to bring him in on an emergency basis, so I expected the bill to be high anyway. My cat’s needs were addressed in a timely and efficient manner. All staff were courteous and professional.

B.B. We absolutely love Animal Kind. But do you know what matters way more than that? Our dogs LOVE Animal Kind. The staff—the ENTIRE STAFF—is so friendly and professional and kind to our dogs. Everything from major leg surgery down to the smallest checkup appointment, our dogs are comfortable and cared for. We’ve also been able to call them with questions and concerns. Animal Kind Hospital just feels like a huge safety net for our dogs and we are so lucky to have this incredible staff here to care for them.

S.F. We came in because Hudson our Labradoodle was due for his shots. The technician was fantastic with our high energy doggie! I wish I asked her, her name! Thank you! And thank you to the great welcoming staff as per usual. We can and do reccomend every single one of the Vets that we have used over the many years.

L.S. Animal Kind is an excellent Animal Hospital. The most experienced vet there is Dr. Michelle Werner. She is meticulous, extremely experienced, smart, and caring; she knows my 5 cats so well and all their histories, she rarely needs to consult their records.. she is so popular, and well loved it is difficult to get an appointment with her so schedule early. You will be very happy you did.

C.Z. Only four words “you are the best”. They are professionals, with excellent actitud, respectful, compassionate, with a lot of patience, and a clean place. I will never change clinic. I really want to thank your whole team, starting from the front line receptionists and including the people we don’t even see. You all together make the difference.
