    PET CARE SERVICES

    WELLNESS CARE
Nearly every companion animal will be exposed during their lifetime to highly contagious, and often fatal, diseases. Proper preventive care and vaccinations can minimize the chance of your pet contracting any one of these diseases. Yearly check-ups for your pet along with regular vaccinations, dental exams and cleanings, and annual screenings for intestinal worms and heartworms are recommended. Your pet will receive reminders in the mail so you do not forget these important events!

    SENIOR HEALTH CARE
When your pet reaches the age of 7 (5 for large breeds) they are officially senior citizens! With this milestone comes the need for 6 month exams, bloodwork and x-rays. Your pet is now aging 3-4 people years every 6 months. Just as people experience changes as they get older, so do our pets. Senior exams help us identify these changes and treat conditions that could be potentially fatal, such as cancer or kidney failure.

    SURGICAL SERVICES
Our state-of -the art surgical suite allows us to perform many types of surgery such as soft tissue, orthopedic and cosmetic surgeries. Your pet is monitored and cared for by trained veterinary nurses using the latest equipment and techniques. Gas anesthesia and heart and lung monitors are used during all surgeries. We believe in total pain management before, during and after surgery so that your pet is comfortable at all times. Laser surgery is offered as an option that causes less bleeding, little if any pain, and improves patient comfort after surgery.

    MEDICAL CARE
Our hospital offers human hospital technology to diagnose and treat your pet. Modern x-ray facilities and in house laboratory testing allow us to promptly diagnose your pet's condition. We can hospitalize and monitor your pet and provide intensive care or isolation when necessary. Our complete pharmacy is stocked with the drugs needed to facilitate your pets recovery.

    DENTAL SERVICES
Dental disease is the number one disease problem in cat and dogs. Although cats and smaller dogs have the highest incidence of periodontal disease, 95% of all dogs and cats will have dental disease in their lifetime, many more that once. Our dental services include thorough dental exams, teeth cleaning and polishing, fluoride treatments, dental x-rays, tooth extractions and oral surgery.

    BEHAVIORAL AND DIETARY COUNSELING
Our staff can provide advice regarding the correction of problems such as excessive barking, chewing, spraying, scratching, digging, house soiling, separation anxiety and aggression. We can also counsel you on the proper nutritional needs of your pet for each life stage, including dietary requirements for growth, weight maintenance, pregnancy, weight loss and any special dietary needs.

    GROOMING
Is your pet muddy and matted? Are they begging for the latest haircut? Has it ben more than a month since your pet had his/her last grooming? Then it is time to visit Burch Creek Animal Hospital and our on site grooming department for a bath and a cut. Our groomer, Tammy, loves helping animals look their very best. She has been trained to do basic and show cuts on all species of dogs. She is skilled in grooming all breeds. She will take the time to get to know you and your pet and the services that you have in mind.

    BOARDING
We know sometimes it is difficult to leave your pet behind when you need to go out of town. Whether the reason is fun or business, a trip often means worry over the care your beloved furry family member many be receiving while you are gone. While we cannot replace you, we will always try our best to make your pet feel as comfortable and loved as possible. For the health of all our guests, all boarding animals must be healthy and current on immunizations. If they have not been done in our clinic, written proof of immunization from a veterinary hospital will be required.

L.M. I recently moved to the area so I was looking for a vet near by that I trust. I worked as a veterinary technician for 10 years, and worked with some amazing doctors, so I was nervous, and I have high standards when it comes to patient care. When I called in they were very kind to me and were able to get my cat in the next day for a pre-op exam. Dr. Sharon definitely answered all my questions and helped me feel a lot more comfortable about Coraline's spay procedure. It is very clean, and I love that they practice fear free! I can tell they are definitely practicing excellent medicine.
