C.A. The month of January 2923 has been a constant parade of trips to TAH. First my Chihuahua got into an altercation with my 15 pound cat. She lost. She ended up with an abscess in her ear, that caused her great pain. She had pain when a bedsheet was over her while she slept. (She normally sleeps at the foot of the bed under ALL of the covers. ) The vet was so very sweet, she carried my baby doggy like it was her baby doggy. She came back with four medication‘s, carefully & patiently explained each one. Did not rush me when I had questions. The bill was a little over $200. A week later I had to take another dog to the vet, who ended up being riddled with cancer. The vet and the technicians were so kind to us and showed us how to, keep him comfortable until we felt he was ready to let him go. When we brought him back, well, they did charge us for the euthanasia procedure… There was no office fee. They were so kind, so understanding. The vet tech even teared up a little bit as we said goodbye to our precious baby. Three days later I was back again with another cat. He had been vomiting for over 24 hours. We were very worried. (He’s about eight months old, so he is our newest baby. ) it was about 9 o’clock at night when we decided to make this visit. The evening vet was extremely kind, and she offered us three options. Even made it very clear that we could try option one, and if it didn’t work… We could bring the cat back to see her with no charge for the a second office visit. She medicated him for the ride home, and luckily we did not have to go back. It was very kind of her to give us all of our options, and support us in choosing the one that would help our cat but also cause the least financial strain for us. Then today, I had to bring my little tiny cat fighting puppy back to the vet.
J.W. The front office staff is always so welcoming and helpful-Darlene, the office manager, has resolved many issues for me seamlessly. The vets are caring, and the support staff have always treated my animals like their own. I appreciate everyone here! Dr. Lay is my go to, but I have seen many doctors and all have been wonderful.
Y.B. My cat, Jazzy, aged 13 years old, was seen at your facility. He has posted a lot of weight. The doctor there, who was nice stated that his kidneys were not good and that he could be treated but there were no guarantees that he would make it. My middle daughter and my oldest grandson were Jazzy's owners. They did not want to put him to sleep. They wanted to save him. To understand why they wanted to save him is that 13 years ago, my youngest daughter, had brought him home. On 8/13/22, my youngest daughter passed away from a brain aneurysm. When I told this to the staff, I didn't remember if anyone there except a visitor, actually knowledge of my youngest daughter passing. We didn't have the money from treatment. I asked for a payment plan I was told that your facility does not have one. So I then took Jazzy back home, where he is going to pass away but your office, didn't provide any hospice information. After looking on line, I found 2 other animal hospitals, who do offer it. Just because a person doesn't have enough money for treatment, the faculty should still be able to help to save their pet.
S.B. Brought my pet into this facility for the first time had a great experience. Vet staff was friendly and informative. Dr. Jones was absolutely wonderful. She answered all of my questions and reassured me that my dog would be well taken care of and she was. My dog had to have a dental cleaning and although I was nervous everyone who helped me and Princess made me feel safe and comfortable with the whole process.
    S. I have visited Tropicana animal hospital many times and my strong opinion is that this is the very best veterinary service I have ever experienced by far. I told them today that they get 4 1/2 stars only because I never give five stars, however I did have one small issue on my last visit for my Boxer who was diagnosed as likely gastroenteritis and prescribed antibiotics but I also paid for a relatively expensive blood test and was told I would receive a call with the results but I never did. Not that big of a deal especially since the antibiotics worked but I kind of felt like I didn’t really need to pay for the blood test and told them about it today when I visited. I wasn’t making a big complaint and I didn’t ask for any compensation but when I went to pay the Bill they did not charge me for the office visit which was for both of my 2 dogs. So I decided to give the - very rare for me - five star review. I would not recommend or say this if I did not feel it with a 100% convection - this is a good veterinary hospital with a great staff excellent doctors and for me always relatively fast and generally more than satisfactory service at reasonable prices. My advice is if you live near enough to this hospital it is likely the best choice you could make in the entire Las Vegas Valley. My additional advice is to take the negative reviews you may see here with a grain of salt - I have read most of them and I have never had any seriously bad experiences at this excellent animal hospital. Shout out to Dr. Lee this time for the patient focused attention and extra time that she put into my visit today. Big shout out to anyone involved at the office of making my office visit today complementary as well - it was not necessary but it made me feel very good. Better than I already did. I also rarely even leave reviews… Mostly I only leave reviews when I’m unhappy about my experience. *****.
