    Morgan Street Animal Hospital

    History

    • Founded in 1977 by Dr. Ron Preissinger as a mixed animal practice.
    • HCAC purchased by Dr. Scott Myers in May, 1990
    • HCAC became an exclusive small animal practice (dogs/cats only) about 1995
    • Kathi Myers joined HCAC and became Hospital Administrator in 1997
    • Phase I completed for new HCAC building in May, 1997
    • Kathi Myers developed concept for pet resort/boutique in Spring, 1998
    • Phase II – Purrfect Paws Pet Resort – completed in Fall, 1999.
    • November, 2002 – Don & Nancy Miller took ownership

In November 2005, Animal Medical Clinic and Hood County Animal Clinic merged two separate business entities to become one owned by the same people, Dr. Don and Mrs. Nancy Miller.

When choosing a course of action for serving our pet owning community better, merging these two veterinary hospitals seemed to be a natural progression. Both of these hospitals already believed in the same principles, shared the same vision for the future and practiced the same quality level of care that the community has come to depend on. Most importantly, we also shared in the belief that for our clients, their pets are part of their family and that they desire the very best in veterinary care. Both locations of Animal Care Centers (ACC, for short) are here to support, educate and be your partner in healthcare throughout your pet’s life.

ACC hopes that the pet owners within the Granbury community will find it beneficial to them to have two locations of the same high quality veterinary practice available to serve them. Our doctors and support staff are a winning combination of knowledgeable, compassionate and professional people. Several of our practice team members are active in the national veterinary community and our team accesses continuing education at every possible opportunity. As a matter of fact, both of our locations are closed each Tuesday from 11:30 – 2:00 to enable us to meet as one and perform team training and continuing education on a weekly basis. We know how rapidly veterinary medicine is changing and we know that we must dedicate this valuable time to better ourselves, which in turn, will enable us to better serve and care for you and your pets.

Although these hospitals have two separate buildings, we are making great strides to incorporate the best of both of these practices to make us one family. Through the coming months you will see changes (like our new name) that will continue to move us in a positive direction towards this goal. We appreciate the support, friendship and trust from all of our valued clients during this time of positive change and growth.

It has been and will continue to be an exciting venture to combine the resources of these once separate entities. By doing so it will enable us to remain on the cutting edge of the ever-changing field of veterinary medicine. We feel that you will see a difference at our practices.

J.H. Acton Hospital and Morgan Street both will care for your pets as if they were theirs! I am Sam and Sophie's Person.. I am client from last 17 years.. They do not disappoint!
W.W. The doctors and techs are just wonderful. I've been several times with my elderly cat and I couldn't ask for better care. I highly recommend them ?.
K.T. I had a kitty with new onset seizures. They got me in the next day early. Each new person introduced themselves. Normally, Miss Kitty is terrified of people. You could tell she wasn't happy but never tried to run away from them. They talked softly, moved slowly, and did everything to not scare her. Explained everything, including detailed upfront costs. Very happy with them!
D.I. Morgan Street Animal Clinic has the most patient and caring staff. From the appointment desk to the groomers. We love Morgan Street Animal Clinic. They treat our fur baby like he was theirs. They have groomed our cat for several years and are so good with him. He looks great when we pick him up and seems to be very content. He loves it when they groom him. He feels like a king! Thank you for caring about peoples pets.
D.M. I've been going there for about 2yrs with my dog. There prices are about average I guess, but everything is high right now. $50 office visit and $65 for his allergy shot. But they're very nice, and at least don't treat my beloved dog like a postal package ?. Yes I'd recommend them.
L.T.S. Had a first visit with a new girl. They took care of another one of our girls for about 6 years, always with excellent care and concern for her and her hoomans. GREAT JOB ALWAYS.
B.S. Our sweet girl had to have emergency surgery. We went to Acton Animal Clinic as they are our original office. Their care is top notch for our fur babies! All prices we've had to pay have been very reasonable. Once transferred to Morgan Street Clinic, the care was top notch as well! We are so thankful for them all!
