M.D. My husband found a stray dog while working in Georgia that had been hit by a car. We brought her home to NH with a broken femur. CAVES was my first choice for surgery. The entire staff was nothing short of awesome! They provided us with frequent updates, photos, and amazing overall care for our Miss Georgia Peach. She is all healed up and ready to experience her first New England winter. We highly recommend VCA CAVES!
C.F. These guys are just amazing. Makayla, Melissa, and Lindsay, as well as the doctors. Our cat Beanie actually swallowed a sewing needle, but they worked with us to perform an emergency procedure, and to help get the bill paid. They’re all really amazing.
D.S. I would like to say that the vet, technicians and front staff at this center were professional, kind, and polite. In all my life I have never been treated with such kindness and compassion. I was shocked that my cat Lacey was at the end of her time but I know I was at the right place for her. The continued support after her passing was also appreciated <3 Thank you to All.
    E. Through a recent experience with sand impaction, I cannot say enough great things about the staff and level of care at CAVES. Our dog was admitted for 2. 5 days and during that time, I received thorough and frequent updates (text, photo, call, visitation) so I knew what was happening and what to expect. Treatment plans were reviewed as updates were needed, and there was no surprise at the final bill, since the team took the time to review expenses throughout the entire process. Our dog was clearly well looked after and was discharged in great shape, which is uncommon due to her high stress nature. A tremendous thank you to all involved in her care during this really scary time as a pet owner.
J.G. Several years ago I had a very bad experience with one of my cats and I did a rather negative review 2 years ago as I did not have resolution and was still upset. I deleted that review and I am posting a new review as I had occasion to bring my same cat to CAVES in June. I'm happy to report that I saw great improvement in how my cat and I were treated. I brought my cat in on a Friday night after what I thought he was experiencing muscle spasms. Emergency staff were dealing with other cases and I could not be seen for 3 hours, but when they did see him, he was diagnosed with seizures and immediately taken for treatment. The doctor did explain a course of action and I opted to have him stay overnight to treat the seizures. The night nurse texted me first thing the next morning with an update and later that morning, a phone call from the doctor to tell me that he likely had a brain tumor causing the seizures and blindness. I was given options of moving forward and I did choose to humanely put my cat down. I was treated with kindness and I believe my cat was treated well. Staff gave me plenty of time to say goodbye. This time I was prepared for the $1, 000 bill. It is for this reason that I cannot give a five-star review. While it was a high bill and I was able to put it on a credit card and can make payments, I still believe that caves should offer options for low-income families with little to no income. I do give a four star review for professional and dedicated staff. My doctor was suffering from a migraine and still gave me her best! Thank you.
A.D. I had never been here before until my dog needed a TPLO surgery. Dr. Gazzola and her team have been nothing but FANTASTIC during this stressful time with my pup. When my dog was waiting for surgery, in surgery, and finally came out, I was updated via text and phone call the whole way through. Any questions I had, they didn’t make me feel like I was a bother like some other places I’ve been to. They answered any questions and concerns I had with the surgery and how well my dog would do after the fact. When his leg started to look like it was infected, they had us come right in. They waived the ER visit fee, cleaned my dogs incision site, and charged me just for meds. I have had the BEST vet care here and I will recommend this place to anyone who needs surgical or emergency intervention. Thank you again for making my situation with Thor a little less stressful!
L.W. Unfortunately my cat was very sick and I had to make the decision to euthanize him last night. I was calling so many emergency hospitals, vets etc. and none of them were helping me since I did not have the money upfront to treat my cat for what he had. I finally was able to talk to such a sweet and caring person over the phone here. Her name is Vivian (i think that is how you spell it) but she was so amazing and extremely helpful especially with the fact that she knew i didn’t have the money to help my baby boy. They took him in anyways because they didn’t want him in pain anymore. It did come to the part where euthanizing him was the best option at that point. They gave us enough time to say good bye to mr jack and we’re very sincere the whole time I was there. The doctor who gave him the shot was very nice as well. Thank you everyone who was there last night who comforted and helped us. And thank you especially to Vivian, you can tell she truly cares about your animals well being. Extremely thankful for her.
