Review:
All services from routine shots to boarding and grooming have been top notch!.
I had to bring my dog way across town to a well run emergency vet.
A bit more expensive but all the doctors are first rate.

AAHA-accredited, Board Certified doctors & hospital: Pet Care Center Inc with 4 Vets located in Metairie, LA provide the finest care for your pet.
A veterinary hospital was built on this site in 1958 by Dr. J.R. Brooks. At that time, it functioned as an equine hospital for Jefferson Downs, located at the present site of Lafreniere Park. David Drive was a dirt road which served as the 'back side' of the racetrack. In 1990, it was purchased by Dr. Steve Slaton and has changed and grown over the years to the small animal veterinary hospital know as Pet Care Center. After many years of planning, in 2006, Pet Care Center purchased Veterans Veterinary Hospital and the decision to build a new facility was set in place. The next two years brought much planning, construction, and a new partner, Dr. Erica Capshaw Brooks.
In February 2009, we re-opened our doors at 2212 David Drive as PET CARE CENTER VETERINARY HOSPITAL, PET RESORT & SPA.

N.S.Brought my dog in sick. She would not eat and had a bladder infection at night when the vet i was seeing was closed. My dog was seen in a very short time and the vet was very thorough and explained everything to me. I was so impressed with the friendliness and the quality of care that my dog received, which by the way she got better very fast I was hooked on the Petcare Center. Dr. Fraser was remarkable and she is now my go to vet.
V.R.Dr. Michele and the entire staff were incredible! They went above and beyond for my dog and me while we were facing some scary situations. They have earned my trust and believe it or not, my dog actually likes to go here. He’s totally fine when they take him to the back.
D.W.The Best Doctors and Staff! Everyone is always happy to see my giant schnauzer, Mia! No matter what procedures are done to her, she is ALWAYS happy to go "See The Ladies" Thank you for loving my dog! Donna Wallace.
J.M.The doctors and staff are all so caring. My dog was sick and showing a lot of anxiety on a recent visit. The lady at the intake desk could tell she needed to be seen and took us into a room to wait for the doctor to calm my pet instead of waiting in the waiting area where she was trying to crawl behind me and hide. A previous patient was late and had the schedule running behind. It helped my dog so much ?.
K.This was probably one of the scariest moments of my life next to my human kid falling off the bed and needing stitches over his eye. PCC staff were calming, empathetic, understanding, supportive and did everything possible to save our sweet boy Mike. Because of PCC’s exemplary services and extraordinary staff, Mike is recovering at home with us after an incident that could have gone completely the other way. I can’t thank y’all enough. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts for all that you did. I would (and do) highly PCC to anyone who asks for vet / ER vet referrals.
P.B.We only been going to Pet care for a year and so far it has been very professional, clean, good on getting appointments and well staffed. We Absolutely love Dr. Frazier. She is extremely nice, professional and cares about your fur baby. She has a very calm spirit about her which helps me understand what’s going on and helps with feeling comfortable to bring Chino there. Chino loves going to Pet care and he gets a lot of love from the staff. Everyone there puts your fur babies first and have a-lot of patience. Dr. Frazier has taught me alot about chino my large goldendoodle and takes the time to find what works best to help. It’s not “just about money” here they truly care.
D.G.This is, by far, one of the nicest and most caring pet groups I’ve ever worked with. They really cared for my dog and me. I unfortunately lost my dog, after a lengthy Illness, but the staff genuinely cared about the pain I was suffering and it showed. I truly recommend this team to anyone looking for care for their pets. I can’t speak highly enough about them.
K.O.T.B.Had to take my Boxer to the Pet Care Center last week, during the night, because she began with bloody urine. Hope, one of the vet techs, immediately got Mama dog to the back to see the vet. She was diagnosed with a UTI and put on medication. I was able to take her home that night. I couldn’t have asked for a more knowledgeable and caring doctor and staff. Especially their tech, Hope! Now a week has gone by and Mama finished her meds yesterday. Today she started with the UTI again. We went back to the Pet Care Center on Saturday night, her meds and diet were changed and we came home. Mama is resting comfortably and has begun her new course of meds. Again Dr. Chattier, Hope, and the rest of the staff did a great job!
