The costs and care were explained before the exams so there were no surprises - they even helped us select an appropriate pet insurance plan to help with costs. Dr. Hollifield and staff truly care about ALL their tiny clients, including exotics. Grateful for them - absolutely recommend!

M.M. We have been going to Best Friends Veterinary Hospital for many years- throughout the lives of 5 dogs and our daughter’s cat. Dr Hollifield is an amazing vet. We first heard of her when we fostered a rescue from New Orleans after Hurricane Katrina. Dr Hollifield worked with The Humane Society to care for the dogs they brought back to the area. Based on that experience, we started taking our dogs to Best Friend- even though it is not near our home and have never regretted that decision. Dr Hollifield is kind, gentle, very knowledgeable and attentive. Whenever we reach out to her with a question or we need to be “fit in” to a busy schedule because of an unexpected event, she makes sure to respond. She’s an excellent diagnostician who won’t give up until she finds the problem and solution for unusual conditions. She is there to share the joy of a new pet or to mourn the loss of an old one. She and her staff are very empathetic and deal with the feelings of the pet owner, as well as the pet. We are 100% confident in Dr Hollifield and would highly recommend Best Friends to anyone who is looking for high quality veterinary care. You won’t be sorry.

M.M. Dr. Hollifield is the best ever! She is caring, compassionate and is deeply knowledgeable. From the moment I met her, I knew she was committed to providing pets HER best. She sat on the floor with my dog, and talked to her, just calm and soothe her, then she addressed me. She listened to what I had to say and took my feedback seriously. She worked through the issues and my dog not only recovered, she thrived. I travel an hour away, drive by more vets than count to see Dr. Hollifield. I wouldn't even consider going anywhere else.

G.R. Dr. Hollifield and her staff are amazing. My cockatiel had to be seen rather urgently, so I called Best Friends’ as soon as they opened. Sabrina answered the phone and was incredibly kind and empathetic as I explained my situation to her. She was able to squeeze me in that Saturday morning even though I would be a brand new client. As soon as I walked in the door, Sabrina greeted me with a huge warm and welcoming smile. Ashleigh was the tech for that visit and was kind, friendly and knowledgeable. Dr. Hollifield took care of my cockatiel as if he had been going there for years and was already part of the Best Friends’ family. The whole experience was so positive that I’ve chosen to make this practice Papaya’s primary vet. I live 40-45 minutes away but it’s totally worth the drive for this clinic’s excellent and superior level of care they provide for your pet. Thank you Dr. Hollifield, Sabrina and Ashleigh for providing equal parts professionalism, kindness and empathy during our recent visit. I highly recommend this practice!
