    • My husband and I cried a lot but the staff made it a bit more bearable.
    • This place ruined our family’s mourning of our dog’s passing processes.
    • I highly recommend them, they are a small facility, but so kind and helpful.

E.R. I can't recommend this location enough! AEC has shown my hamster the best care I could've asked for. She's had to come in twice for issues with her bowels, and each time they've treated her so kindly and handled the situation promptly. Not to mention they charge very fairly, I was pleased with the price of her overall bill including her antibiotics. You can rest easy by putting your beloved pet in their hands!
S.M. I had my first vet emergency with one of my ferrets and the care he received at AEC was compassionate and top notch. Luckily they had an exotics vet on staff, Dr. Hughes, so they told me to come in and asked my eta and gave me clear arrival instructions. Everyone from the front staff, to the tech(who owns ferrets), to the Dr. We’re professional polite and knowledgeable. I felt my baby, Smokey, was in good hands. They got him stabilized with a fluid bolus and meds, dx the dreaded insulinoma and gave me follow up instructions. If you need emergency vet care, especially exotics like ferrets I highly recommend this office. They made a very stressful experience a little more bearable and I felt their prices were reasonable for emergency services. Smokey and I cannot sing their praises enough! A picture of the weasel in question.
V.R. Just wanted to say that the people here are amazing and compassionate. I've brought my animals to this place over the years and have always gotten good care. Yes sometimes there is a wait because it's based on emergency basis. People shouldn't be mad because some animals are in worst shape. And I find the prices to be reasonable for an "Emergency" center. Had to say goodbye to my Buster Boy. The staff were so kind and compassionate when he crossed over. Thank You Guys! ❤️.
E.L. I had to take my cat Faye in because she was having trouble breathing and was very lethargic. The team was very kind in getting her in quickly, as it seemed very serious. Unfortunately it ended up being a diaphragmatic hernia, and she had serious issues with where organs were located. The doctor was extremely patient and kind in explaining things to me, even showing me what a normal x-ray looked like, compared to my sweet Faye's x-ray. The vet was kind and compassionate, and gave me honest feedback about Faye's diagnosis and prognosis for recovery. I made the difficult decision to put her down, and the vet set me up in a personal room where my girl could be on my lap as she left. I will forever be grateful for the treatment of both myself and my sweet girl during this extremely difficult time. Thank you all, very much.
N.W. Brought my dog, Odie here because he wouldn’t stop vomiting. From the staff who took my several calls, to the vet technician to the vet, I was was treated very kindly. All testing/prices/reasoning explained thoroughly. Staff was so nice and helpful. Vet called to explain Odie’s treatment plan, and technician also re-explained everything when we were able to pick Odie up. I was really impressed with them and so thankful they helped my baby to feel better. Highly recommended.
K.B. Terrible that we had to bring 2 of our pets here in the matter of 3 days but everyone there was so sweet, compassionate and patient with us and our animals. The first time we did unfortunately have to say goodbye but they were very sweet and did everything they could to save our sweet baby. Dr. McBride walked us through the process and while it was incredibly painful, having such an excellent team made it a little bit better. When we had to come back a few days later they were sad to see us again but were able to fix our other cat’s urinary blockage in a matter of hours. This time we had Dr. Chronowski and she listened to the many questions we asked because everything was still very raw. She had phenomenal bedside manner and was very comforting. Highly recommend if you need somewhere to take your pets in an emergency.
    L. They performed a last-minute life saving operation on my cat that no other hospital anywhere in metro Detroit was available to do, and he's been urinary-blockage-free with no issues ever since! I really appreciated the system they had for online check-in during the pandemic.. My only suggestion would to have what was expected for payment presented a little more clearly. The final price was higher than what I was first told, which happens, but I also wasn't told up front that I couldn't use Care Credit for the down payment. I ended up having to scramble for funds, and while they were accommodating and let me split the payment between multiple people, the woman I spoke to was sort of implying she didn't think I would be able to pay. I'm sure they run into that a lot, but a more compassionate tone would have made it less stressful.. That said, they saved my baby and I'll never have to worry about him blocking up on me in the middle of the night again! Thank you to everyone here for the excellent care.
C.W. The staff was kind, compassionate and thorough. I spoke with 2 vets and maybe 3 vet techs while my dog was there. I felt like he was cared for to the best of their abilities, which I appreciate because it’s very hard to find good care for your pets.. The only negative is that I wish they would’ve emailed me a quote for the overall cost because I had a minor discrepancy as far as cost. But overall, they were really great with my Sterling.
