A bit expensive - BUT with the care and service they give, it is worth it!.
1st visit and was impressed by the staff, the clean office and rooms.
This place is way overpriced and I was given misinformation on their pricing .

B.C. The Dr. and staff go out of their way and take the time to make your pet feel comfortable and to explain treatments and answer questions. Highly recommend.

L.T. I am so thankful for everyone, I was put at ease with just the first phone call when trying to figure out how to take care of an issue with my 9 year old baby (dog! ). And to top it off, they were able to take care of him almost immediately and without ever being treated there, I just knew in my gut and heart that he was in really good hands <3 - and I was more than accurate! He can't wait to see you in January!

K.T. This vet is very impressive. I brought our rescue pup for a first visit, and they spent the first 10 minutes playing with him and helping him feel comfortable so the going to the vet is a safe, friendly experience. I highly recommend this practice.

M. Originally I was looking for a place to put my 16 year old Calico down. She was really sick and was fading fast. I called Animal Hospital of Lake Villa in tears and the guy who answered was so sweet. He listened to me as I sobbed that I didn't want to do this. Well on June 4, 2021 I took my sweet Patches in. They were in no rush I sat there with her as we held paws. I told her I loved her and that she was a wonderful cat. I had her since she was 15 weeks old. She was being mistreated by my husband's brother. Not physically but it is still abuse and neglect if you cannot feed your pet. Fast forward 16 years and she was my love. RIP Patches we miss you. Thank you everyone for making us feel secure!

C.L. Great experience, friendly and knowledgeable staff who made me and my senior car Moxie feel comfortable. Cost was far cheaper than I was used to paying in downtown Chicago for just as quality care. Will definitely return and would recommend this vet clinic to others.

Animal hospital of lake villa always listens to my concerns whenever I call about my dogs. 2 of my dogs adore the vet, and my other is a little more timid but they always take great care of her and she loves it by the time the appointment is over. They really take the time to make my dogs feel comfortable before doing anything. The techs and vets are incredible!

D.W. This has to be the most pet and people friendly animal hospital in Illinois. The staff is super friendly and easy to talk with. I was greeted with smiles, friendly conversation and an offer of a cup of coffee. The staff and doctors cuddle and hug your pets and offer calm reassuring conversations with them. They have a separate entrance and waiting area for dog and separate entrance and waiting area for cats and other pets. They have the plug in pheromones scents for dogs and cats to help your pet stay calm. They offer smoked chicken breast to dogs as they examine them to make the trip to the vet as stress free as possible. We have been bringing our pets here for 18 years.

S.F. Love this Fear Free atmosphere and their willingness to work with your dog at the dog's pace. Carl Shanor was especially helpful in making sure my young dog had her vaccinations done in the most effective way possible, and the whole staff treats you and your pet like family. The doctors are amazing. I would never take my pets anywhere else and I highly recommend them, especially if you have an animal that might need a little extra love and encouragement! Grace and Dr. McGuiness were able to handle my very nervous cat including drawing blood and getting a shot, in such a kind and caring manner that by the time we came home, my cat acted like we had never even left the house. Thank you all so much!
