    K. My 2yr old dog had a sudden seizure. I called on a Friday afternoon, they got him right in, first visit. Dr. Sarah Blair was wonderful, along with her medical asst. She really listened and waited until the last symptom without rushing nervous me, as seeing the seizure was traumatic. Dr. Blair explained things very well and was gentle and kind. Blood work results were very quick in same visit. They clipped his nails all included in visit. We were very comfortable and will be returning.
J.D. As a first visit, I was unsure how things would go considering my pup's anxiety in settings like this. However, everyone went wonderfully from the welcome to the initial review to the consult with the Vet to the payment. I was very happy with their quick response to my request for an appointment. And I look forward to visiting again.
B.A. The staff was great, very warm and welcoming. The doctor took the time to listen and understand what was going on with my dog. It was nice to not feel rushed. We received followup calls over the next few days to make sure he was doing good. And the facility was spotless. I am very thankful I chose to take my dog here.
R.W.M. I initially felt really good about Dr Nikki; however, after our most recent experience - I’m not so confident. We took our miniature dachshund in as he was struggling to breath. $635 later X-rays, blood work including thyroid, fecal & urine tests were all done. It was determined by the X-rays that he had an enlarged heart. Dr was waiting on test results to determine what heart meds to start him on. 8am next morning I receive a call that she was placing him on Metvedin and Lacix. I could come pick up the Metvedin and a script for the other. $115 for the Metvedin that I could have gotten elsewhere for $75 had they given me the option. Fast fwd to that evening - Kozik is really struggling to breath and I call in. They offer to meet me at the office - which we accepted. Our boy passed away before we got there. He was doa and Dr Nikki apologized stating that she “thought he had more time”. She offered to hold him overnight, and we could pick him up in the morning and take him to Metro to be cremated. We arrive the next morning to pick him up, the receptionist wants me to sign a form giving consent to euthanize. I said no, he was doa. Then she tells me our final bill is $460. I said to store him overnight?! ?! No I don’t think so. She returned and changed that amount to $160. We paid in full.. The issue I have is, our boy was 24 hours away from death, and she couldn’t tell that at all?! ?! She said his blood work looked good! It’s hard not to feel like we were simply part of the money machine to her rather than a family who deeply loved & cherished their pet.. Rest in Peace sweet boy. Kozik 6/1/2008 - 8/3/2022.
C.M. The staff is very kind. They got my Ellie in quickly for what I thought may have been an emergency. Thank goodness it wasn’t too bad. The dr and staff took time for Ellie to warm up to them. The dr explained everything clearly. This is a wonderful facility.
V.B. Always clean and helpful atmosphere! My one dog couldn't wait to get there to see all her "vet friends" she would gladly walk away from me like it was a spa day because she knew she was in good hands. Dr. Bauer has always been so helpful in the care of my 2 pups! I recently had an emergent situation and she was able to see and take care of my dog the same morning it occurred. My dog is feeling so much better too! I feel that the staff here is very educated and truly doing what they love, and love what they are doing-that is very important to me as a dog mom!
C.C. Honestly Dr Bauer demonstrated incredible patience with all of the many questions I asked, and issues that needed to be addressed. She did an incredible job of explaining the things I didn’t understand, and offered even further explanations to make sure every choice I made for BigBoy was well informed. She listened to my concerns and took them seriously. It felt really good to have a vet that made me feel like she actually cared about my dog personally, and genuinely wants him to get better. Our last vet didn’t even remember him after going there for a year.. I don’t see a way that the service here can be improved. All of the staff was patient, helpful and incredibly kind. I’m so glad I discovered this animal hospital.. Added some pictures of the good boy who is FINALLY on his way to feeling better thanks to Dr. Bauer.
L.C. Choosing a new vet to take care of the fur kids is not usually a pleasant experience. However, our experience at Animal Care was amazing! I walked in with my cat in a harness but was holding him in my arms. There was a very large dog being checked out and my cat started shaking in fear. I stayed toward the back of the room but one of the technicians noticed his angst and whisked us away into an exam room where we filled out our new patient paperwork. The technician, the doctors, the front desk staff were all very friendly, knowledgeable, and took their time with us. Thank you for a great first visit and we look forward to returning for many years!
