Countryside Animal Hospital was founded in 1976 and has been under the ownership and direction of Dr Jim Herrmann and Dr Sarah Garland since 2001. We take great pride in achieving our primary goal -- providing the best pet care possible. We are dedicated to providing compassionate and advanced care for your dogs and cats, and our love for animals will show in the care we provide to your pets.

Traditional pet care encompassing careful checkups and preventative care and screenings is the bedrock of our service. We know every pet is unique, with their own histories, quirks, and personalities, and so we enjoy getting to know patients and their owners. In addition to providing regular checkups, we also have an up-to-the-minute facility where we can provide advanced diagnostics including digital radiology and ultrasound. Our surgery center emphasizes the latest minimally invasive procedures such as arthroscopy, laparoscopy, thoracoscopy, endoscopy, bronchoscopy, and rhinoscopy. We are proud to provide full orthopedic and soft tissue surgery including knee injury repairs and more.

M.B. Amazing and caring staff. Very informative, and make me feel more at ease. They tell you everything they are going to do and make sure you understand what is happening with your animal. Love this place!

V.P. CAH has taken great care of my 4 different dogs over the years. The staff is always friendly and helpful. The techs have all been wonderful with my animals and the doctors have all exceeded my expectations. They truly care and have gone out of their way to help my fur family on a few occasions. Scheduling has always been easy and I really appreciate the evening hours.

M.M. The vets and staff at Countryside are awesome! We have been very pleased over the years! They have been caring for our multiple pets - dogs (4 all together - two grew old and passed and we have 2 currently) and cats (2 total, 1 currently, the first passed due to cancer and had her care with countryside) since 2002. Our first dog we adopted was healthy until she grew old and eventually needed a palliative plan which they put right in place to keep her comfortable throughout the end. They have been kind, compassionate and professional with every encounter we have ever had with them! They don't do exotic pets so we had to go to Salem for our daughter's guinea pig. We have always rescued our animals and they always were so understanding and calming with them when they were new and afraid. And now with COVID19 our pets are still getting great care, just staying safe in the car when waiting for our appointment. Staff still maintaining friendly and compassionate care and attitude.
