Review:
Took our dog at midnight and we were treated very well nicely and quickly.
She tried to charge extra for shots of fluid and send home fluid.
Very honest place and the staff genuinely cares about your fur babies.

S.M.My pup had a successful middle of the night surgery at this clinic and I'm incredibly grateful that they were able to see him and that he is recovering well - however, vet Linda was incredibly rude when I tried to ask for 30 seconds of her time to discuss options and potential risks of surgery as a terrified dog-mom. The care my dog received was good, but the bedside manner of the Vet left a lot to be desired. Hope, at the front desk, kept me abreast of my pup's surgery with updates and was very kind and compassionate after my unfortunate interaction with the vet.
K.S.My Doberman unexpectedly passed away late on a Monday evening. We live in Seymour, IN and no vets around here are open 24 hours. We found this one and it was the place we took him to await cremation. The first woman I spoke with was extremely nice and compassionate. She truly acted like she cared. By her recommendation, I had gotten off the phone with her to call another place to see if we could have a necropsy performed since this place doesn't offer it, they were closed. So I called back and and I don't know who that woman was that answered, but she was really rude. I was only trying to tell her that place was closed and she got snappy and said "I don't even know what you're talking about let me find who you spoke with. " And then I was on the line again with the nice woman. So other than that moment it was a good experience. When we arrived he was taken inside and I filled out the paper. It was short sweet and to the point. I am glad they were able to take him.
S.M.S.We rushed our cat Angel to the vet hospital on Thursday night after we came home and discovered she was very ill(not going into details because there is a huge story). She was quickly taken back. They told us how many pets were ahead of her and if another pet came in more severe the wait could be longer, which we understood. They called quickly after they came to get her from us and stated what all the vet wanted to do and asked us a price range we wanted to stay in. We set a baseline and asked what testing the vet thought was needed now. We were given a quick answer and told we would be called as soon as possible. Not long after an x-ray we were called in. They explained us Our girl’s situation. And the vet stated they were giving us meds until we could get in with our main vet. Which we and the staff felt confident was very doable. With her antibiotics she did show improvement. And we were waiting until this week to get her in since that was what was open. Unfortunately in the early hours of Saturday morning while we were asleep our girl passed away. We appreciate the staff being so sweet and caring to us and Angel. We truly believe their care and actions bought us a little extra time with our girl. She was 11 years old at the time of her passing. Again thank you to all the staff and vet that too care of our sweet girl. We appreciate you.
K.W.Had an emergency with my cat. I called before leave from Evansville to Louisville. Unfortunately my cat was having a seizure as we arrived. They immediately got him in and took care of him. I didn’t even have any paperwork filled out yet. To me this was putting my Jaxx first and I greatly appreciated it. They suggested a 2-3 day stay, but it ended up being less than 16 hours. I appreciated that they didn’t keep him longer than they felt was necessary, but enough to make sure he got the care he needed. I hope I won’t need their services again anytime soon, but I would definitely recommend to anyone in need of emergency care for their pets.. Jaxx has made a full recovery since that day.
L.H.The staff is knowledgeable, informative, and compassionate. They are incredibly kind and empathetic. Our dog Lucy donated blood! If your dog is over 50 pounds, they can donate too. Thank you to being so loving to Lucy.
A.B.E.I had to rush my German Shepherd here Saturday morning. Unfortunately, it was not good news and we had to make the decision to say goodbye to our beloved Cain. I cannot thank the staff enough for helping me get him out of the car onto the stretcher, the kindness of the receptionist and the frequent, very detailed updates from Dr Fowler. When the dreadful decision was finally made, I was allowed the time I needed to say my goodbyes and love on my boy for the last time. I was able to kiss him goodbye and hold his head in my hands until he fully crossed the Rainbow Bridge peacefully. I was then allowed more time to say additional goodbyes and was not rushed out at all. I want to thank the staff and Dr Fowler for everything they did for us that day. While there wasn't anything they could do that resulted in the outcome we wanted so desperately, they treated us with compassion during that very difficult time. RIP Cain ??.
M.M.On Labor Day our beloved Senior Dog began making her journey over the rainbow bridge. Due to the holiday our regular vet was closed, so we took her into Jefferson to ease her process and pain, and have her put to sleep. I had no prior experience with Jefferson, so I was anxious. I was absolutely amazed by their compassion and care. We went into a private room with couches where they laid my baby next to me, gave us private time to say our goodbyes, and then I sat next to her on the couch holding her paw as the process was completed. They then allowed us more private time to stay with her until we were ready to leave. Today I received a condolence card in the mail and seeds to plant a forget me not. I could not recommend Jefferson higher. They made this heartbreaking process so smooth and as easy to handle as they can. Thank you so much for your compassion and care. I highly recommend Jefferson!
A.T.I took my little chihuahua to Jefferson on outer loop yesterday because she was becoming very sick very fast. I called ahead of time and the receptionist had “warned me of the wait time” so I was already aware. The wait times can be long but that’s because it’s not by appointment. When you get there, they triage everyone so if your pet is stable enough to wait, consider it to be good! Anyway, I just want to praise the entire staff who were oh so sweet to me and my pixie girl but also Dr. Fowler was just amazing! When she called she really took the time to explain the good and the not so good, everything on the blood work and a very detailed go home plan. I didn’t feel like she was rushing me around which I greatly appreciated! Thank you Jefferson Animal Hospital for helping me and my sweet little chihuahua yesterday! ❤️❤️❤️.
