B.A. I had such a great experience at Holladay. If you are looking for a vet clinic that will be sincerely kind and caring to both you and your pet, I would highly recommend them. They’ve also seemed fair with their pricing from what I can tell from one visit. I especially appreciated that their urgent care price wasn’t astronomical. When making a final decision on the route of care for my dog, the cost was about $100 more than my budget had hoped for. They helped me to create a different plan of action that was closer to what I could spend while still being able to provide him with the adequate care he needed. Ok, now that I’ve covered the basics of what people are usually looking to find out from a Google review, here comes a probably long winded retelling of my positive experience with Holladay. My dog is a senior guy, about 16 years old. He was having some tummy troubles that were kind of hard to determine if he needed medical help or if it would clear up on us own. I love him immensely and especially worry about his well-being with his age, but like many of us these days the financial struggles are very real and keeping a roof over our head is always a big concern as well! I recently moved back to this area and hadn’t needed to establish a new vet clinic for him yet. I did some research and called around to a few places so I could get a better idea of what the bill for his care was going to be like. From the moment I began speaking with Ashley, my first impressions of Holladay were very high. Without any obligation to, she went above and beyond to have a personable and very helpful conversation with me. I have terrible phone anxiety, so it was relieving that speaking with her felt more like a conversation with a friend. (Actually, I don’t even like talking to my friends on the phone. So I guess it was even better than that! ) I decided to bring him in for an urgent care visit the next day. Everyone I interacted with was friendly. I believe our vet was Dr. Crawford (I’m so bad with remembering names unless I write them down) She and the vet tech who took care of my boy were great. They definitely have that personality and demeanor where you can tell that they truly enjoy and care for animals. They had great bedside manner with my nervous old man. The visit was done very efficiently while also giving me the opportunity to ask any questions I had. They were able to help my guy start feeling better right away. After I got my dog home he was able to have the longest and most peaceful sleep that he’d had in many days, and he’s improved greatly since. I’m so relieved to see him acting more comfortable and spirited again, and knowing that he’s going to be ok. Thanks so much everyone at Holladay for taking good care of Austin! We’ll be back in May for a regular check up. :).
R.W. My dog and I just moved across the country and were in need of a new vet. Through many recommendations and positive feed back on the Nextdoor app, I called Holladay Veterinary Hospital. The entire staff was so friendly. They called my previous vet and knew my senior Pomeranian’s entire health history before we even stepped in the exam room. It was nice they already knew what her issues were and I didn’t have to start fresh with the long list of things that I’m managing for my dog. The appointment never felt rushed, all my concerns were addressed, we went over all of her previous diagnosis, how I felt they were going, and blood tests to ensure her medicine is still the proper dose. I wasn’t pressured to give her any shots that wouldn’t be beneficial to her, or do any extra expensive tests like I had been in the past by my dogs pervious doctors. I’m ecstatic I found a vet office that loves my dog as much as I do and really values her health and care for the later years of her life.
L.M. Such a nice and comfortable experience, they have the friendliest staff. You can see the LOVE and passion they have doing what they do. They treated my pup as if he was their own, showering him with treats and love. And Dr. Richard Pratt is literally the sweetest. Thanks you guys so much ??.
K.C. A little miscommunication with the front office staff (obtaining records and whatnot), but other than that, we had a great experience. I’ve never been seen so promptly in ANY doctor’s office. The staff was pleasant and Dr. Crawford was amazing! It was my first time coming to this office and meeting Dr. Crawford and it’s safe to say I have found my permanent veterinarian. She was thorough with explaining everything and giving recommendations without coercing me into any sort of treatment. Highly recommend!
D.N. I really appreciate the clear communication I've had here. Professional, giving concise details. I have visited quite a few veterinarians and these guys are more personal with a higher quality of care. They are not the cheapest guys in town but that has to do with them taking precautions towards your animals care. They saved my cats life really reversing a terminal situation. I trust them to always do their best and are capable of doing so.
C.G. This place has such amazing reviews for a reason! I’ve never been to such a great vet before. Some vets don’t seem like they care, but here you could really tell they did. My two cats get very scared, but the two women (I apologize I forget their names, I’m terrible with that) talked so sweet to them and gave them their favorite treats. They were understanding of my concerns and gave great advice, not prescribing them anything they didn’t need. The main waiting area was completely empty and they were mindful of keeping the only dog that came in away from my cats, then got me into a room very quickly. I’m so glad I took my babies here, I’ll definitely keep going there forever!
P.P. Kodi my beautiful big baby boy. He's a powerful Pit, and I can't say enough great things to describe the service both of us received! Our doctor was amazing and thorough, the young lady that bandaged and dressed his very painful paw was patient and sweet. Kodi is under 2yrs. and is over 85lbs of pure muscle. Both the ladies were tiny and between the three of us his bandage was done beautifully. Holladay was the only hospital that made adjustments to be sure to get my baby the professional medical attention he needed! I'm very grateful to the amazing staff that aided in every aspect, to helping with in&out of the car, to trying multiple cones, and all the way to getting him back into the car. I'm very impressed and they even worked out a plan so I could afford his treatment. Thankyou so much for all you've done for my sweetheart & me. And all on a Saturday. He's now resting comfortably and happy to be home. I recommend highly "Holladay Veterinary Hospital" definitely went above&beyond!
C.M. I feel like I can’t NOT write about how wonderful and caring the staff at Holladay Vet are. Our 2 year old corgi Max unfortunately had a cracked and infected tooth that needed to be extracted. We decided to wait a little bit longer to get it extracted so we could have the surgery with our dog’s vet versus going somewhere else to get in sooner.. I was such a nervous dog mom having him be put under anesthesia because you never know what will happen. When we got to check in, Dr. Pratt’s surgical technician Kim met us in an exam room to get Max checked in and answer any questions we had. She took her time making us feel comfortable, and awhile later (we didn’t feel rushed at all! ) we were on our way out leaving our baby’s life in their hands. And we felt so good about it. Kim was so knowledgeable about everything we asked, and made us feel so comfortable that Max was going to be in good hands! Throughout the time he was at the vet, they texted me updates and pictures on our little guy. And that helped so much with my dog mom anxiety! Even when we picked him up after surgery, they took the time to explain the post-op care and made us feel empowered to take care of him to the best of our ability.. I also need to brag about Dr. Pratt. He is so kind and comforting. Any time he has needed to call about Max he has explained everything to me in a way that I fully understand and also made me feel like he cared so much. He’s compassionate about being a veterinarian and it’s obvious he loves all of his patients. He has such good bedside manner (if that’s what it’s called for a vet! ) I feel so grateful we have Holladay Vet as our dog’s vet. They are caring, comforting, and kind. They care so much about their patients that I would feel comfortable leaving my pup in any of their hands. I would recommend them to everyone!
