Located at 1212 West Clinch Ave. less than two blocks west of the Worlds Fair Park, Central Veterinary Hospital is open for business Monday-Friday 7 am to 7 pm, Saturday 7am to 2pm and closed on Sunday. If you have emergency veterinary needs outside of our business hours, we provide after hours emergency services through the Knoxville Pet Emergency Clinic. KPEC is located at 1819 Ailor Ave. in Knoxville. KPEC is open whenever we are not available. You can contact them at (865) 637-0114.

Central Veterinary Hospital gladly accepts walk-in clients, but for faster and more efficient service we recommend that you make an appointment. For an appointment time, please call (865) 525-1167.

S.Q. I live in Sevierville and I drive here because it’s the BEST veterinarian experience I’ve had! I’ve got two dogs who get aggressive when scared and Dr Irving is so sweet and kind to them. The ladies at the front desk are all incredibly sweet. Yesterday I had one of the dogs spayed and they even let me sit with her until her sedative took effect so she would be more comfortable. Grateful to have found such caring doctors! If you’re looking for a place that will treat you and your pets with amazing care this is the place!

R.R. With a newly adopted dog who is anxious around other animals, I was nervous about her first vet visit. The staff at central vet hospital made her feel at home and put her at ease. Everyone was so nice and helpful! Everything was explained in such detail that was easy to understand. I would definitely recommend taking your pets here!

K.M.W. My sweet kitty Bonnie developed a UTI this week and needed immediate relief. Central Veterinary Hospital got me in the morning I called! Her initial medication helped but didn’t fix the problem completely, so we came back in today for another examination. We’ve worked with both Doctor Patterson and Doctor Svec now. Both were extremely attentive and took the time to answer all of my questions. Bonnie and I both felt well taken care of by the rest of the staff as well. I wish I could remember the name of the assistant that helped us too- she got Bonnie’s weight and felt her pulse. She made her feel safe and loved on her. Hopefully we don’t have to come back to the vet for a while… but if we do I have peace of mind knowing we can come here. Thank you!

P.V. My kitty Theo was just brought in about a week ago for consuming a piece of string. Central Veterinary Hospital was so quick to pick up my call and squeeze me into their schedule. (I brought him in as soon as I hung up on the phone with them. THAT QUICK! ) Theo had x-rays done and they had him in & out so quickly! The next day they called to check up on him. This team is extremely attentive and welcoming.. It means a lot to know that my pet is in good hands. Love y’all! -Darlene.

M.B. What a great first experience at Central Vet! I went to the downtown location with my cat that was a little under the weather. When I got there, they placed me in a room quickly and helped me ease my cat’s anxiety being at a new vet. Everyone there was really sweet and helpful - they even called the next day to check on her. I highly recommend this practice!

K.C. I am in the process of changing each of my pets care to Central Veterinary Hospital. We love our previous vet but the distance is just too far. I was nervous not knowing what to expect, but we have actually had to take two of our dogs within 3 days of each other as new patient/sick visit. Not only did they get us in quick, they made us feel so welcome. You can tell that each employee truly loves animals. The pricing was more than fair and I was very touched to see a sign on their door asking clients to remain quiet upon entry as they had a family helping their baby cross the rainbow bridge. So much respect all around for the entire facility. We have definitely found our new vet home.

C.F. I take my two cats here and cannot recommend either location enough. After living out in West Knoxville and dealing with inflated prices, I was so realized to get quality care at a price that didn’t break my bank for both an illness visit and getting my babies up to date on their routine shots. I am so thankful I found this clinic and can’t wait to see how they continue to care for us in the future!

A.L. Dr. Truett was amazing. Not only did she deeply care about my dog BamBam, she cared about her owner too. She was always informative, caring and very trust worthy. This isn’t just a job to her and it shows. She does a marvelous job! If every vet was like her the world would be a better place. I have never been so pleased with the care we received. Not only is Dr. Truett amazing so is every single staff member. They went above and beyond my expectations. They not only cared for my dog they even let her cuddle up in their laps while they did paperwork. Their faces lit up when they saw my dog and they were very eager to help. I can’t say this enough, thank you all from the bottom of my heart! You all saved my babies life! I will forever be great full for all of you.
