    • Very thorough and caring, and their office does not smell like most vet offices.
    • Very few vets in my area that can service Ball Pythons.
    • Caring staff that provides quality services for your pet.

Belton Animal Clinic and Exotic Care Center with 3 Vets located in Belton, MO: AAHA-accredited, Board Certified doctors & hospital provide the finest care for your pet.

Belton Animal Clinic and Exotic Care Center has a long history of quality medicine and surgery. Established at its old location on Main St. in the late 1950s, it is currently owned by Dr. Teresa Bradley Bays, an international author and lecturer on exotic pet species. In October of 2005 we relocated 2 miles north into a new and expanded facility at 1308 N. Scott Ave, Belton, MO.

Our staff is a GREAT team, with the right mix of skills and backgrounds, and has been carefully chosen to provide the best care for your pet. All staff members are required to participate in annual continuing education and several have special interests or areas of expertise within the practice.

Our veterinarians work closely together, having rounds to discuss hospitalized cases. Because they all work well together there is a great balance of experience and education. Working with more than one doctor, when necessary, does not pose a problem because each one cares deeply for all of our patients.

At Belton Animal Clinic we strive to offer not only sound advice, but also optimal veterinary care, thus allowing you the enjoyment of your companion for a maximum number of years. Our job is not only to treat your pet when he or she isn't feeling well, but also to help you learn how to keep your best friend happy and healthy.

R.L.O. Their staff is kind and compassionate and got our dog, Joey in for a necessary surgery that was not scheduled but very much needed. We are truly grateful and will not go bank to our previous Vet whose office didn’t care at all. We appreciate their professional kindness, care and help in our time of need! Our Joey is doing great 3 days post surgery!
V.W. I have been taking my cats here for almost 9 years now. I trust them completely with my cats health! The prices are affordable. If you take your pet in for an exam but they recommend additional services they will tell you the additional cost up front to see if you would like to proceed with the recommendations which is nice. They do accept care credit if you have that. They also work with many pet insurance companies. If you have an emergent situation give them a call and they will do their best to get you in as soon as possible and if they cannot get you in soon enough they will help give other options. If you have labs run the results come in quickly and the veterinarian will call you to review the results and answer any questions as soon as they receive the results back. They will make recommendations for food sometimes, but if you're like me and can't afford the pricy food they will help recommend affordable food that is also healthy for your pet. If you're considering taking your pet here you should definitely check them out! The whole staff is great and they really care about your pet.
C.T.W. Dr. Block is great with my bird and with us owners lol. She understood that we wanted to handle our bird since she was not really very socialized with strangers. She did not have a problem with this and we were able to work together to come to a solution for my baby Chica. To get to this particular doctor it is a bit of a drive but it is well worth my time.
K.M. My dog isn’t the easiest for a stranger to love. He’s big and doesn’t like most people. All three of the people who helped at our visit we’re amazing. Every vet we’ve been to just tries to diagnose the problem quickly and get him out of the door. It made both our experiences there better to have such great staff there. I appreciate it so much; thank you!
C.R. Our ferret had a growth on their tail that rapidly increasing in size. We were concerned with having a surgery done on our senior ferret. Dr. Anderson was able to ease those concerns. The surgery went absolutely perfect and our ferret is now back to living her best life. All the other staff were incredibly attentive as well. Though no one wants to see their pets go through surgery, I am happy with our choice to let Belton Animal Clinic and Exoctic Care Center handle the procedure. Thanks to their incredible work and care our ferret is thriving!
    C. Dr. Anderson is incredible! She’s operated on three of my bearded dragons and it’s very apparent that she cares for each animal. She’s full of knowledge and so kind and caring. She always goes above and beyond to make sure the animal is comfortable and cared for. Dr. Block is awesome as well! She’s very sweet and always takes extra time to make sure you fully understand what health issues the animal is experiencing and what the options are moving forward. The vet techs are always nice and welcoming. They’ve been able to squeeze me in several if one of my dragons needs to be seen immediately.
    R. I got to be honest with you, this is the only veterinary clinic that I will ever go to. I’ve been coming here for about five years taking my hedgehog, and recently I’ve been taking my cat that we’ve adopted within the last year. This is hands-down the best vet and the best service we have ever received for our pets. I commute 35-40 minutes to get here, so it’s a drive but that pales in comparison to the quality of service our pets receive. Thanks Belton Animal Clinic for all you do.
