    Services:

Because of the shorter lifespan of our pets, we stress the importance of an annual physical examination. We also believe that our geriatric patients can benefit from twice-yearly exams. Thorough check-ups and preventive care can help alleviate serious health problems. We offer a wide range of veterinary services to keep your companions feeling their best:

Diagnostic and Therapeutic Services: Our hospital is equipped to provide diagnostic and therapeutic services to care for your pets' complete health care needs. With an ultrasound unit and a flexible microendoscope, many diseases can be diagnosed without invasive procedures.

Surgical Services: Our modern surgical suite provides for the performance of a wide variety of orthopedic and soft tissue surgical procedures.

Anesthesia: We utilize the safest available anesthetics to provide an extra margin of safety, especially for our older or high-risk patients. Using the most modern equipment, the patient's vital signs are monitored during all anesthetic procedures.

Radiology Services: Our on-site X-ray equipment provides high quality radiographs to aid in the quick diagnosis of many disorders.

Dentistry: Our dental services include teeth cleaning and polishing, dental X-rays, tooth extractions and minor oral surgery. With our IM3 high speed dental unit, we can provide state-of-the-art care for your pet's dental needs, including ferrets, rabbits and rodents.

Laboratory: Our in-house laboratory facilities provide for serum chemistry, hematology, serology, urinalysis and parasite testing. We also utilize commercial veterinary laboratories for specialized diagnostics and consultations.

Permanent identification: We offer Home Again microchip identification.

Pharmacy: We maintain a complete inventory of pharmaceuticals, nutraceuticals, shampoos, flea and tick control products and heartworm preventatives to meet the needs of your pet. Individualized Parasite Control Programs: We develop programs for the specific needs of your pet and your own particular environmental situation. We will review with you the best ways to control fleas and other parasites in your house, in your yard and on your pet. We carry Advantage, Advantix, Promeris, Frontline, Comfortis, and Capstar, as well as combination flea and heartworm prevention such as Revolution, Sentinel and Advantage Multi.

D.K. My cat Kahleesi unexpectedly experienced a turning point in her health where she tremendously declined. ECAH took her in immediately on 3/9 with a required $500 deposit. Understandable. (Prior to visit, she was seen at Murphy's given 1 injection of kenalog and 1 injection of convenia and sent out. ) Later on that day I was notified of an obstructed urinary tract & she would need a 3 day hospital stay and was quoted around $978. As a healthcare worker I understand how hospital stay can rack up the bill. Vet tech Shannon was amazing. She called me twice a day with updates. Receptionist (forgive me for forgetting your name) red-ish hair and bandana was verycompassionate and warm-hearted. I loved her. Over Kahleesi's stay she was diagnosed with diabetes from lab results. which extended her stay. Unfortunately the bill increased and wasn't aware until I picked her up. Questionable things from invoice without lab results. However, I was discounted for a stay and some on 3/13 but an additional charge for food on the same day. For the unexpected cost they allowed me to make a scheduled payment. Vet tech Chloe showed me how to inject insulin and test glucose. Vet tech Jenna explained discharged and advised me on my other kitty. As soon as I got home and let Kahleesi out of her kennel, she showed symptoms of what seemed like diabetic shock again. Her back legs went out and something was wrong. Her blood sugar was at 101 at discharge.. overall I do feel Kahleesi recieved exceptional care but the vet bill can break your financial /emotional well being. If you're considering ECAH just make sure you're prepared in the bank and recieve every single notification prior to charge. I've worked amongst Physicians and PAs - sometimes we can turn very clinical and business oriented during our practice. Thanks for taking care of my Kahleesi ?.
C.M. We had two of our cats spaded they were super courteous super friendly they did everything to accommodate us to help us they just were absolutely amazing looking forward to bringing our fur babies back to where they're treated like family.
A.B. I had brought my two female cats in to be spayed at $200 for both of them. Well when I arrived at 4:00pm to pick up my fur children I was then informed that one of my babies had some kind of extra procedure done in order to do the fixing she was brought in originally for. Well this extra issue was $180 which I definitely didn't have on hand to pay but Mrs Susan who is with the APL she's the one who linked me to Emerald coast animal hospital via the Internet one week prior to this date, was called by the tech there and she graciously agreed to pay the $180 for me just wanted everyone to know how lucky they are if they happen to go through the APL to get their fur babies fixed. i should add tho that Emerald coast animal hospital didn't even try to contact me that day to ask if I would be able to have the $180 at the time of pick up which would have been nice and I could have made arrangements to handle it. but thank you Mrs Susan your amazing 5 stars for her and 3 stars for emerald coast animal hospital for lack of communication that day.
R.G.M.I. My one-year-old Yorkie, Milo developed some gray mucus in his eyes. I called my vet and explained his situation, so they asked me to wash his eyes and to keep checking his eyes often, and if the mucus didn't go away, we were to bring him in. The problem was we were leaving Atlanta for a little vacation in Destin. We arrived in Destin and after a few days the mucus was still coming back, so I called three or four vets, but they were all booked except for the Emerald Coast Animal Hospital. I was able to get Milo in and they examined him and found out he had a bacteria infection called conjunctivitis. They prescribed a few prescriptions and he is now back to normal and doing fine. I recommend Emerald Coast Animal Hospital to all who need their pets medical needs met.
