C.P.Excellent care! I love how the tech and Doctor spent time with us answering questions. Our family is grateful they’re helping us get our Koa Bear ready to move over to Hawaii by checking every box! Thank you for doing a great job today with our baby. He loved the cheese!
N.E.Great staff, quick appointments and wait time. Clean office and rooms. Overall great experience. I love the Wellness Program for my cat and dog.
R.T.I was a bit anxious bringing my cat into the vet for the first time. I wasn’t sure how she would react. However, all the staff I encountered at this location were phenomenal! The vet tech and Dr. Grimes were both very patient and loving to my kitty. The exam was a breeze! Thank you VCA! ❤️.
S.M.Dr Seymore and the entire staff at VCA Alaska Pet Care are superb! My now almost 4 year old dog has had many medical issues, especially during his first couple of years. He is always kindly and gently cared for. All my many questions and concerns are addressed patiently and respectfully. On top of that once the appointment is completed, Dr Seymore consistently checks in via text on his progress. I feel like the entire staff is truly invested in my dog receiving the best possible care. I would highly recommend this clinic to anyone wanting exceptional care for their 4-pawed best friend. C.E.This is the best vet office hands down. We had a special bred dogs that ended up having A LOT of medical issues. Dr Seymour was caring, knowledgeable, compassionate and they LOVED her! They enjoyed going to the vet and would get excited when they saw we were turning the corner. Because of her, we got to enjoy a couple more years with each of them before their quality of life was not good. She helped us through the process of saying goodbye and checked on us. The same with our cat. Now we have 2 crazy cats and one was VERY FERAL in the beginning. She was able to handle her with no problems and now helps keep these two in their best possible health. Been going to her since around 2005 and will stay there as long as she lets us!
V.G.Great support and care, and very responsive. I recently needed vaccine records right away, and within a couple of minutes I received an email with the information I requested. Earlier in the summer, our dog had swelling by his nose, so we went to a pet emergency, which we were told would be 4 hours! We called back to VCA and Dr. Kronz was able to get us in quickly, and also take care of annual physical and shots. The whole staff are top notch. So grateful. Thank you.
K.R.W.My dogs have been patients here for two and a half years. Dr. Seymour is great. The ladies at the counter are great. They call and do follow ups. Even Dr Seymour reaching out means so much. As we know we can't always get direct contact with the vet but it's very comforting. Great clinic!
A.B.I got a Samoyed from a reputable breeder (out of state) that ended up having serious anxiety issues. I worked on her anxiety for about a year-- doing agility classes, nose work, and tons of other classes to improve her confidence. She was able to get her Canine Good Companion Certification, but she was still an out-of-control dog.. People would ask me if my dog was a rescue because she was so bad-- just barking and going into blind panics for no apparent reason. We tried everything the dog trainers said to try. I was literally grasping at straws to help my dog.. And my regular vet suggested we visit Dr. Seymour, and it was the best piece of advice I got. Dr. Seymour has just about cured my dog. She went from barking so much and so loudly in the truck that I felt it was dangerous to drive to being pretty relaxed and rarely barking. Dr. Seymour gave me a mountain of handouts to read, recommended a book to read on dog body language, and gave me a ton of YouTube videos to watch. It's been several months and I'm not even through a tenth of Dr. Seymour's suggestions, but my dog is doing great.. Last year, we went camping, and my dog barked non-stop. This year, we did the same camping trip, and no one could believe how different my dog is. She didn't bark, wasn't going nuts all the time-- she chilled out and was happy to get pets.. Dr. Seymour also helped us with fireworks. At New Year's my dog was so distressed by the fireworks that she lost control of her bowels and cowered all night in the bathroom. Nothing I could would calm her or comfort her. Dr. Seymour gave my dog some medications that were specifically to use with fireworks, and my dog really wasn't too concerned about the Fourth of July fireworks.. Dr. Seymour changed my life by helping my dog become a calm, happy dog. She spent hours with me and my dog, and we email back and forth all the time with updates on my dog's progress. She always has good ideas for how to help in different situations, and I'm so thankful that we have Dr. Seymour in Alaska.
