P.F.My wife and I have a "weekend property" in Adair County. Having pets we, of course, had to choose a vet for those trips down from Louisville. We are extremely pleased with the service we have received at ACHA. The staff are always friendly and helpful. The vet techs are thorough, professional, and friendly. Dr. 's Pettyjohn and Rexroat have been fantastic to work with, and take the time to listen to our questions/concerns and discuss the necessary medical care. There's no hesitancy in our recommendation for Adair County Animal Hospital. Thank you all for everything you've done for us and Peanut!
C.D.Dr. Rexroat and her team are great to work with! They have been so helpful with our dog Winnie, whom is not an easy case. They always go above and beyond to help, and have even helped me with her insurance claims. I highly recommend!
D.H.We were visiting from Ohio and our dog needed attention. From my first conversation with Kayla, to Jennifer the technician, and seeing Dr. Vasi, all were extremely professional, caring and thorough in their exam and ensuring we understood all the information and treatment. I would highly recommend Adair County Animal Hospital.
D.W.I chose the photo I did because it shows how wonderful the vets are at this hospital. They treated my ferret, ghost, with care and love. They made sure we knew what was going on with him throughout surgery and even explained everything to us step by step before hand as well as pricing. I trust them with my fur baby completely. They’re in my home town and even though I moved to Glasgow, I will continue to bring my ferret to them because I know he’ll always be cared for. Thank you all so much for everything. You eased my stress and worries.
J.B.I love the staff here! They genuinely care about the individual animals and are not finished when you walk out the door. They follow up, making sure all is well with your pet, and that you are comfortable in knowledge they've imparted to you. They answered my questions and were sensitive to my new puppy's needs, as well as giving me good advice and tips on crate training. Clinic mascots, Sophie (Great Dane) and Dude (cat, extraordinaire), were also on hand as part of the greeting entourage! Yep. love this animal hospital! ❤️ ???.
J.A.Believing our Capone had a small injury to his leg on Sunday, Dr. Rexroat was able to get us worked in on Monday. After a physical exam and X-ray, osteosarcoma was suspected. Dr. R was very thorough in our options. She was patient while my husband and I processed that are four-legged fella had cancer. Our questions were answered quickly via text, email and phone calls. We opted for amputation of the affected front left leg the following Friday. We are updated on Al Capone’s progress as he entered recovery. The veterinary assistants and technicians were phenomenal when we picked our boy at the end of the day. They were gentle and patient as we loaded him up to go home. Not an easy feat when Capone weighs 100 pounds. Late Saturday Capone started experiencing vomiting and became very lethargic. Dr. R was easily accessible by phone. We followed her recommendations however, the next day the vomiting still continued, and we were advised to bring him in. We were met by veterinary assistants and technicians. The issue was reduced to the pain medication that Capone was on. They quickly address that issue and provided him with fluids. After a two day, stay being rehydrated and cared for Capone was able to come back home. The staff was great allowing us to visit with him both days. He regained his appetite. He was drinking. His spirit was returning, and his mobility was incredible. We are hopeful that Al Capone will continue to improve and embrace his new title as the best tripawed in all the land. A huge thank you to Dr. Rexroat, Nicole, Jennifer, Emily, Heather, Kayla and Velina (sure I missed someone) for taking good care of Capone, being his champion and for giving us hope.
E.W.Best (and cleanest) boarding facilities with staff that really cares for your pet. My babies always enjoy their time boarding here. I wouldn’t trust any where else with my pets. I love knowing they get extra love and pets while I’m away and have a doctor nearby should they need anything. ❤️.
J.I love everyone at Adair County Animal Hospital! They are so easy to get in touch with (I LOVE being able to talk and schedule via text) and they’ve always been able to see my cats very quickly when needed.. I recently boarded my 4 cats for a week during the holidays and they were well-loved during my time away. I received updates every day and they even provided pictures for me when I asked. They were able to accommodate their 3x a day feeding schedule at no extra cost and made sure they had their blankets and toys. It was a super reasonable price for an entire week and I would happily board with them again.
