Savannah Animal Hospital was founded October 18, 1988 by Dr. Robert Pedigo and Dr. Andrea Richter. The original facility was actually the home of a River Boat Pilot. Initial renovations converted the building into apartment and the animal hospital. The apartment was modified for office space in 1992. Major renovations in 1993 and in 2000 brought the hospital to its current status, including the separate Savannah Animal Hotel. The Hotel is a complete indoor boarding facility with a pet boutique. The boutique offers supplies as well as gift items for cat and dog fanciers.

Changes externally brought growth internally with enhanced services and advancement of technology. There are approximately 43 staff members throughout the facilities serving people through their pets. We are committed to providing the most advanced veterinary diagnostics and treatment in an environment of care and compassion. We place a premium on individual care for each patient.

Through communication and working together with you, the pet owner, we strive to give your pet a happy and healthy environment. Pets are an important part of our families, and we want the highest quality of life for them.

A.P. Update.. My concern has been addressed. Thank you for taking the time to review my issue with me and help me resolve it.. I could be wrong, but no urgency unless they want to schedule an appointment. I have had a mix up with our pets medication for probably about a year now and its just one miscommunication or mix-up after another. Very frustrated.

D.C. We relocated from MD & Savannah Animal Hospital was recommended by our Vet at VMC in Easton. Nestlé was treated with kindness and the tenderness she needed to begin our new relationship with Dr Tsolakis. We had a very nice experience ?❤️??.

L.Y. We are so grateful for this practice! We have three golden retrievers, and on the same day, the three-year-old began vomiting and having other signs of distress. At the same time, our 13-year-old showed signs that an external tumor was about to burst. I called early in the morning, and Brie swiftly handled both emergencies. Honey, the elder, went in for surgery that very day, followed by Drogo, the younger, for multiple X-rays. Now, they're both up and about and so happy! The office is well-run and immaculate. The vets have both compassion and extensive expertise. Last, but definitely not least, everyone there loves the patients and their families. We feel lucky to have this practice to take care of our furbabies!

A.A. My first impression of the reception team was not great, but seems like that person was just not well trained yet. I was annoyed that as a new client they asked about my employer and basically ran a credit check using my license. I would have been fine with them doing it, if they were upfront about it. They did this after I had already completed the visit and paid for my services.. Overall I have had a good experience with the surgical team and vet staff. They are pricey for sure but my animals are maintaining their health which is my first priority.

K.B. It does take some time to get in with new patients but it's worth the wait! I have three animals that all go there and we've always been happy with their visits. The office staff is always friendly and helpful.
