The Pound Ridge Veterinary Center has been a part of the Pound Ridge community since 1974, when Dr. Emil Dolensek, soon joined by Dr. Ed. Fleischli, opened the Pound Ridge Veterinary Clinic. Dr. Fleischli retired after 30 years of dedicated service to the animals and people of our community, and placed the practice in the hands of Drs. Laurel Kaddatz and Douglas Aspros who gave it our current name. Under their direction, the practice has continued to grow in capability while retaining the focus on service and compassion. Our associates, Drs. Renee Bayha, Christine Wilson and Kimberley Khodakhah, contribute their skill, knowledge and commitment to our patients and clients every day.

P.S. PRVC always takes great care of my dogs. We've been going there for about 6 years. The vets and techs and office staff are friendly and helpful.

C.T. Our dog went in for several hundred dollars worth of routine vaccinations, and I asked for his nails to be trimmed a little, since he was already there. I should have known, this is a vet, not a groomer, so don’t ask for this sort of thing if you don’t want to pay— there was a $15 charge just to be seen by the tech (where all that was listed was he was weighed; don’t know if this could be avoided, since you can’t give the shots yourself, as far as I know), but the nail trimming alone was almost $50. We have been perfectly satisfied with the specifically medical care at PRVC, but experiences like this confirm they don’t seem any more friendly or customer-oriented than any other vet, and if they can charge for something, they absolutely will.

A.F. Very pleasant first visit. I recently moved from Bedford to South Salem and was looking for a new vet for my cat Mikemo (Siberian Forest) since his previous veterinarian retired. I heard great things about the Pound Ridge Veterinary Center and they didn’t disappoint. The office staff is very nice and efficient. I was able to schedule an appointment within 2 weeks, they got all previous records as well. I was informed I can be present during the visit which is a very important detail, especially post Covid (I think it calms the animals when their person is present). You have to call to check in and an assistant will come and get you in the parking lot once they’re ready, which is way nicer than waiting in the reception area which can stress out the pets. The vet tech (Tamara) was very sweet and thorough taking all information. Our appointment was with Dr. Meghan Gallagher. You can tell she loves animals and was excited for her new patient. She was very attentive, checked everything (annual checkup and vaccinations) and the visit was quick and pleasant for everyone. Not rushed at all. The pricing is very reasonable as well.
