Doses - CLOMIPRAMINE HCL

Dogs: Dog

a) For treatment of male dimorphic behaviors (urine marking, mounting, roaming, intermale aggression); fearful/fear aggression behaviors; noise phobias; obsessive/compulsive behaviors (self-mutilation, excessive grooming, stereotypies): 1 mg/kg
PO every 12 hours for 2 weeks; then 2 mg/kg PO q12h for 2 weeks, then 3 mg/kg POq12h for 4 weeks and maintain. May take 4-6 weeks to see apparent improvement.(Overall 1997)
b) 1 - 3 mg/kg once daily; may take 2-3 weeks to see effect (Line 1998)

Cats: Cat

a) For urine marking/spraying; inter-cat aggression related to social hierarchy± redirectedaggression; compulsive grooming/wool sucking: 0.5 mg/kg once daily PO (Overall1997)
