East Central Veterinary Hospital has been serving the Wichita area for over 30 years. We offer comprehensive medical, surgical and dental care, as well as reproduction, ultrasound and ophthalmology services.

We provide a broad spectrum of diagnostic procedures through in-house testing and the use of external laboratories. We also work closely with referral practices when special diagnostic procedures are required. The facility includes a well-stocked pharmacy, in-hospital surgery suite, in-house x-ray and ultrasound capabilities, a closely supervised hospitalization area, and indoor boarding kennels.

Because of the shorter lifespan of our pets, we stress the importance of an annual physical examinations. Thorough check-ups and preventive care can help alleviate serious health problems. We offer a wide range of veterinary services to keep your companions feeling their best:

Diagnostic and Therapeutic Services: Our hospital is equipped to provide diagnostic and therapeutic services to care for your pets' complete health care needs.

Surgical Services: Our state-of-the-art surgical suite provides for the performance of a wide variety of surgical procedures.

Ophthalmology: We provide ophthalmological exams, treatment, and surgery. We also have access to referral to board certified ophthalmologists should the need arise for our patients.

Anesthesia: We utilize the safest available anesthetics to provide an extra margin of safety, especially for our older or high-risk patients. Using the most modern equipment, the patient's vital signs are monitored during all anesthetic procedures.

Laboratory: Our in-house laboratory facilities provide for serum chemistry, hematology, serology, urinalysis and parasite testing. We also utilize commercial veterinary laboratories for specialized diagnostics and consultations.

Canine Reproduction: We are able to assist in ovulation timing, artificial insemination, collection and shipping of chilled semen, and infertility evaluations. Frozen semen collection and storage are plannned in the future.

Ultrasonography: We off in house ultrasonography to help evaluate potential diseases with minimal invasiveness. All abdominal ultrasounds are reviewed by a board certified radiologist.

Radiology Services: Our on-site, modern X-ray equipment provides high quality radiographs to aid in the quick diagnosis of many disorders.

Electrocardiography Services: We provide ECG services on-site as well as consultations with cardiology specialists.

Dentistry: Our dental services include teeth cleaning and polishing, tooth extractions and minor oral surgery.

Permanent identification: We offer microchip identification.

Pharmacy: We maintain a complete inventory of pharmaceuticals, vitamins, shampoos, flea and tick control products and heartworm preventatives to meet the needs of your pet. We also carry a full line of prescription diets.

Individualized Flea Control Programs: We develop programs for the specific needs of your pet and your own particular environmental situation. We will review with you the best ways to control fleas in your house, in your yard and on your pet.

Dietary Counseling: We will provide guidance regarding your pet's nutritional needs for each life stage, including dietary requirements for growth, weight maintenance and performance.

Boarding: We provide pet boarding as a service to our clients. All boarders receive personal attention from our caring staff. Pets may be dropped off and picked up during regular business hours Monday through Saturday.

Bathing: Routine and therapeutic bathing services are available.

V.C. The veterinarian was very thorough with bethy. He also saved me money on an unnecessary x-ray since he was so knowledgeable.

J.S. Very calm atmosphere, my dog was nervous upon arrival but by the time we left he was fine. Dr was very easy to talk with.

L.M. I’ve been coming here for about a year and a half they’re always nice I like the way they treat me and my dogs. There always honest and I feel like they know what they’re doing. They are amazing.

E.S. Everything about East Central makes you feel taken care of! They were able to work my dog in several times on short notice and Dr. Bayliff is easy to talk to and extremely knowledgeable. My dog broke her leg several years ago and by the time I picked her up after x-rays they had everything worked out for the surgery required. I can’t recommend them more! ❤️.

S.N. Dr. Bayliff Is awesome! We have been to a lot of Vet’s. We use to drive 3 hours to one. That ended up passing away. We will continue to use him until Dr. Bayliff until he retires.

M. Dr. Bayliff is just the absolute nicest vet, and very, very thorough with his patients. Our kitty will be under his care for as long as he is practicing and she is on this Earth! I cannot recommend their vet clinic enough.

P.K. I can not convey how thankful I am for Dr Bayliff and his staff. My family has been going to his practice for nearly 15 years and I couldn't recommend anyone else. From helping us put down the family dog to allowing us to come in for an emergency visit for our cat, they have always been there for us. If you are looking for a veterinarian that really cares about not only your animal but you as a person, this is the one for you.. Odie and Helen say "thank you Dr Bayliff"!

E.N. Think my dog and I have finally found a good place. I was upset that previous vets didn't touch my dogs enough so they missed things that should have been caught. Almost cried when Dr. B began rubbing my dog all over.
