Completed in November of 2006, the addition includes a newly expanded treatment area. This area is also used for many of our specialty procedures. We have expanded our canine and feline boarding areas to allow for more boarding and longer term boarding. Our newly expanded waiting area now includes a separate area for our feline patients to wait. Tours are encouraged and welcomed.

E.M.I had to bring my beautiful baby King from Helena to Great Falls to be seen because we have no emergency vets at my clinic. Unfortunately King was too sick and passed over the rainbow bridge. The staff were so kind and caring, they allowed us time to say goodbye and allowed us to wait for my son to get there from Helena to say goodbye also. Jeni was our nurse and she was so kind and gave King lots of love, I can’t remember the doctors name, but she was amazing also! Thank you all so much.. The Miller family ♥️??.
P.B.My dog is afraid of everything including people. I was able to stay in my car until a room was ready for me. The vet I dealt with was very patient she took her time letting my dog to stay calm. She was able to assess the problem without much contact. I was able to take my dog to the car and went back in to take care of the bill. All in all it was not a bad experience.
M.D.I use this vet for emergency services and they are wonderful each time. Our dog Walter was able to live a longer life due to the emergency surgery and care received here.. More recently I took my cat in on Monday for labored breathing and a high breath rate. They were able to get him stabilized and on a medication plan.. Dr. Richardson has been knowledgeable, helpful, and compassionate each time we’ve had to see her. The vet techs are also wonderful. If you are having a pet emergency I would recommend this vet.
J.M.All staff from receptionist to check in and sedation personnel (sorry, I forgot your names) and Dr. Wirtz in the ER were kind, gentle and speedy for getting Fynn taken care of as the third dog that day in the ER with porcupine quills! Thanks, all. You help me be a better person for our beloved, but mischievous boy!
T.H.Over the weekend, my standard poodle (Spice) was bit in the face by a rattlesnake. Our usual vet was closed but directed us to Big Sky. There were multiple emergency patients at the time, but the vet tech and vet still made the time to patiently answer our many frazzled questions and address our concerns thoroughly. He stayed overnight, we were able to get updates that night and the next morning, and they gave us very detailed home care info. His swelling went 85% down within 24 hours of being home. Two days after coming home, he's becoming himself again. We are so grateful to Big Sky for helping us all through this terrifying situation. Thank you, thank you, thank you! Photos: immediately after bite, 24 hrs after bite, 72 hrs after bite.
K.M.Big Sky has always been superb! We have taken our dogs there for 14 years now. Vets there are very professional, understanding, and allow you to make the decisions regarding your pet's health from puppy stage to and end of life care. From check-ups, vaccinations, emergency visits (we've had our fair share of those), to boarding they have always been top notch! We had peace of mind knowing our fur babies were well taken care of when we boarded them for our ten-day trip just recently. Highly recommend Big Sky to anyone looking for the best care an animal can get.
C.J.It took us a few tries to find the right vet to care for our pets, but then we found Big Sky. It has been the best decision we’ve made for our dogs. Nice facility, 24/7 emergency care, and MRI/CT services. They’ve provided excellent care for our oldest pup over the last couple of years as she’s developed health issues. Our angel, Dr. Johnson, saved her life after a tumor was discovered in her abdomen. We are so grateful to have a little more time with our Molly. At Big Sky we are always treated with kindness, respect, and love. The vets are all very knowledgeable and educated. Highly recommend.
N.F.This is Ebba,. When she was a puppy she got bit in the head by another dog and developed bacterial meningitis. She wouldn’t be here today if it wasn’t for this amazing vet clinic! This dog underwent her own little brain surgery. She is now about 3 years old and living a happy healthy life. This clinic didn’t give up on her and was willing to try. That’s all I could ask for! Not only try but they went above and beyond. Ebba still loves going to the vet today.. Thanks to your incredible dedication and care!
