E.N. Love the hospital! Really trust them; they really care about the wellbeing of your dogs and work closely with you. Great asset for the holyoke community.
S.A. I’ve been going to dr Henderson for 14 years now. She cut and dry to the point. I appreciate her honesty and she always handles every issue I have With her knowledge vs doing unnecessary testing that costs extra. She’s always on point. Other places I’ve gone wanted to charge crazy amounts for extra testing and Henderson does not do that, she just knows. My lab had skin allergies and she knew how to treat it. Another place I took him wanted to scrape his skin for parasites and do all this testing. I trust Dr Henderson.
J.V.O. I have two *very* difficult cats and a decently well behaved dog. Two previous vet offices have seriously struggled with my cats who both have a history of being violently fractious when handled by anyone but myself or my partner. The doctor and staff at Holyoke animal hospital have been nothing short of incredible with all three of my pets. I have full confidence in them and I am very happy that we have been able to switch our veterinary primary care to this facility. We will definitely be returning annually, and for prescription food (which is priced the same at every clinic as far as I am aware, but if I have to give anyone my money I would prefer it to be to this place).
C.L. I was very grateful to get a relatively fast appointment for my dog (he had a small tear in his ear that got infected. ) Very happy with the services. This hospital (like most in the area) are overwhelmed with patients (this is due to lack of providers, not from "overbooking. " This Vet and techs are trying to help every pet they can; this includes regular wellness/vax visits, and more acute visits like mine. ) They are not an emergency clinic, so please plan accordingly. There's no 'urgent care' for animals, which makes it hard for all involved. The vet is very knowledgeable, and communicates the needs of the pet and any medications/treatments quickly and efficiently. I can see how that would seem rude to some, but since she's serving as many people/pets as possible, I think she's just trying to be efficient; no time for chit chat. A vet does have a doctorate, so they need to pay their student loans and overhead. It costs anywhere from 200k to 500k for a vet to go to school, so I pay cash upon services rendered and you should expect to do the same. While I know everyone feels their furbaby should be treated as such, all services come at a cost. If you need emergency services, go to VASH in south deerfield, or if you think euthanasia is warranted due to severe illness or trauma, go to TJ OConnor in Springfield.
N.D. Always try their best to work with you on appointments. I am now releieved to be able to get my babies (that are brother and sisters) fixed so i dont have to worry about complications. Considering they were booking out into september originally. I only had to explain my circumstances and they were able to accomodate. This will be the vet office i will use for all animals because of the exceptional accomodation.. Also, they gave me a good tip on using a onsie so the other cat doesnt get at it. Needed antibiotics. Got same day.. Overall great experience. Ragnar and lagatha photos are below. The one in the sink when she was all healed and feeling happy ??.
