Brookfield Animal Hospital is a progressive, three doctor , small animal hospital located in northern Fairfield County near Danbury, Connecticut. The hospital first opened its doors in 1966 as the Animal Medical Clinic. Dr. Michael Dattner and Dr. Silke Bogart purchased the hospital in 1999 and changed the hospital's name to Brookfield Animal Hospital.

Construction of a new hospital was completed in July of 2008 and contains modern technology to provide the best patient care for your pets. In March 2009 the hospital was inspected by the American Animal Hospital Association and received accreditation for passing 18 areas with over 800 standards for patient care and facility maintenance!! K.N. Had a wonderful experience here. Will continue to take my kitten here for ANY future needs! Veterinarian was very thorough in her check up of our baby! Staff was super polite and friendly. They made sure they gave me post op instructions for spay and an umbilical hernia as well. Could not be happier with the treatment my beautiful kitten got here!

A.G. Dr. Bogart is amazing. I recently had to make the heartbreaking decision to put my cat down just before Christmas. Dr. Bogart was understanding, compassionate, and reassured me that I was making the right choice. The entire staff sent me a sympathy card and everyone signed it, which I thought was very sweet. My cat's ashes came in a beautiful box and the clay paw print is something I will cherish forever. I will always remember the kind way I was treated during a very sad time in my life.

L.M. Everyone on staff is friendly and accommodating to the owner and pet. It’s not always easy for my dog to go to the doctor for an appt or be away from home in boarding, but the outcome is always a healthy and happy dog. The cost of service is more than reasonable for the loving care and wonderful treatment of our beloved pets.

J.P. One of the few USDA certified Vets in the area. My cat needed an international travel certificate. Great go, my cat liked it, meeow. The nail clipping is fantastic and a non-expected complimentary service. The price of the certificate was exactly as it is being charged by the USDA to the veterinarian without any added fees, this is in contrast to competitors who were adding fantasy numbers along with fantasy explanations. Thank you, a service I can and will definitely recommend.
