Because of the shorter lifespan of our pets, we stress the importance of biannual physical examinations. Thorough check-ups and preventive care can help alleviate serious health problems. We offer a wide range of veterinary services to keep your companions feeling their best:

Diagnostic and Therapeutic Services: Our hospital is equipped to provide diagnostic and therapeutic services to care for your pets' complete health care needs.

Surgical Services: Our state-of-the-art surgical suite, including laser and laparoscopic "minimally invasive" capability provides for the performance of a wide variety of surgical procedures.

Anesthesia: We utilize the safest available anesthetics to provide an extra margin of safety, especially for our older or high-risk patients. Using the most modern equipment, the patient's vital signs are monitored during all anesthetic procedures.

Ultrasound: We offer in-hospital ultrasounds, which can be combined with telemedicine consults with internal medicine specialists for particularly challenging cases.

Electrocardiography Services: We provide ECG and echocardiograph services on-site as well as telemedicine consultations with cardiology specialists.

L.R.S. Compassionate during a difficult time for my family. The staff explained the process, sat with us and helped us through a very difficult time. I highly recommend. The office is nice, clean and the environment was just as important to us as what was happening. I appreciate the loving care you showed my family and the compassion and professionalism you showed with our furry family member Miles. You are greatly appreciated for what you do/did. Thank you.

Compassionate.. comforting.. tenderhearted.. from our intial hysterical intake phone call, that Kristen guided us through as we were racing to the hospital, to Nurse Denise and Dr. Kim Mitchell (we are sorry we can't remember everyone else's names), our Rooney was given ultimate care during his final moments at Abescon Veterinary Hospital.. Everyone did everything they could to help Rooney, most expecially Roxy, our blood and platelet donor :) Rooney fought the good fight, but alas, left us brokenhearted as he crossed over the rainbow bridge.. Thank you for allowing us the time we needed to ensure that Rooney was given a fighting chance until the end. We appreciate your help and guidance during this heartbreaking moment for our family.

T.B. Skylar & Ashley did an excellent job with my 3 shepherds today! Super kind & informative & of course patient with my three beasts. Also Absecon vet has an absolute gem in Dr. Lambert. Nice to see a friendly smile & upbeat personality so early in the morning. All around very happy. Thanks guys!

D.A. My dog ingested a toxic substance without my knowledge and began to vomit and tremor late one night when his regular vet office was closed. I immediately called Absecon Vet and brought him in, where he was stabilized and admitted. While he was under Absecon Vet's care, I was contacted frequently by their team of Doctors and given an in depth understanding of his treatment plan as well as any progress that he made. After several days of hospitalization, Absecon was able to send him home on Thanksgiving day. Due to their excellent care, he is now a healthy and happy dog who just celebrated his first birthday.

A.O. Making this my new vet. Worth the drive compared to the incompetence and lack of caring from local vets could have cost me my dog's life and her litter. All my dogs will be going here now. Great doctors and staff who care and are honest and fair about possible costs.

R.S. I brought my cat Beans after having diarrhea for a couple days. The building itself is very nice and clean and the vets are knowledgeable and go through the pros and cons of each potential decision to help decide what’s best for your pet.. They truly care for their patients and I highly recommend them.

A.W. Today I used Absecon Animal Hospital for my 14 year old pup. He was puking all morning and I was in a panic. They took him in IMMEDIATELY. Ran all tests needed, and kept me in the loop the entire time. The staff was so patient, kind, compassionate, and just overall amazing.. If you ever have a medical emergency for any animal, they are the place to go. Fair priced as well. (Which they go over everything with you before moving forward). I am so happy with my visit, and can’t thank them enough for helping out my old man. He is at home resting peacefully. ❤️.
