B.V. Amazing Vet! The staff is so wonderful and friendly! They truly care for your pet. Saved my cat and helped coordinate transfer to an ICU when they were in a dire situation. Couldn't be more happy with their after care and check ups. They were also so amazing and helpful during COVID restrictions offering video call ins and picking up your pet from the parking lot. Understanding with anxious pets. I trust their care with both my pets and recommend them to all!
P.P. Compassionate staff, took extra care to gently manage my usually terrified cat. ( she was feral her first 18 months, I don't know who scared her so badly then, but not BarburVet).
S.T. The vet, vet techs, and office staff are compassionate, knowledgeable, and helpful people who clearly love animals. They are very on top of their schedule; we haven’t had to wait more then 5min after my cat’s appointment time for him to be seen. The prices are similar to vets in the area and unlike other vets I’ve gone to, Barbur Blvd Vet’s service is actually worth the cost.
J.N. Really nice clinic. Front office staff is so helpful & personable. Weird parking lot, but they have 2! Don't park on the slim Barbur side, it's terrifying! My pug appreciated the non-slip pad on the table & no perfume on her tooshy after having her glands expressed! All around great experience to establish care.
K.G. They offered quick and effective care for Penelope and were patient with her when she was spirted (but feisty) on her follow up visit. First time I've felt certain which vet I want to use in the future.
N.J. Compassionate staff and docs. Always friendly on the phone and helpful. Really happy with the care our old pup gets here. Good access as well including Saturday hours.. There’s a comment about cost in another post — I cannot speak to their experience — I will admit pet care is expensive. I personally find Barbur Vet to be very upfront about treatment cost and options. Having experienced other, more high pressure, vets I like their straightforward approach.
R.T. Barbur Boulevard Vet is a great place to take your pets, particularly during the pandemic! All of the vet techs are very friendly, and my kitten likes all of them (up until getting shots! ). How do I know this? One of the wonderful accomodations they've made during Covid is video call vet visits! This lets you watch and talk to the vet throughout the visit, giving great peace of mind to anxious owners. If you're lucky, you'll even get the visit room with a window facing the parking lot, and be able to watch the visit from your car (see picture)! Doctor Avalon is my kitten's vet and I always feel confident that he's in good hands.. The vet fees are a bit pricier than where I'm from; not sure if that's the same across PDX, though! Be prepared to spend 180-200$ for normal wellness + 2 vaccines in a visit; if you're starting off with a kitten's first visits, be sure to ask about their 1st year kitten plan!
