In 1984, Adamstown Veterinary Hospital opened its doors here in Denver, PA with one doctor, two staff members and a mission to provide the finest quality compassionate care for our clients and their pets.

This mission, and the pledge to always provide honest affordable services, was the formula that led to our success. With such an enthusiastic and loyal client response, our hospital grew into a state-of-the-art facility with 3 doctors and 14 staff members. Our practice philosophy is to treat everyone like family and to always do what is in the best interest of each patient. This commitment to our patients and their families continues to draw people to our animal hospital from as far away as Lancaster and Berks Counties.

Now, almost 25 years later, we are proud that Adamstown Veterinary Hospital has become one of the leading hospitals in Lancaster. Adamstown Veterinary Hospital is proud to offer a variety of services to ensure the best care for your pet. We are a full service veterinary hospital. And for on-the-go clients, we offer our convenient early-morning drop-off service! This option allows you to leave your pets at the hospital as early as 7:15 am and then pick them up later in the day after their appointments. A.J. Dr. Hernandez is awesome! I drove over an hour to see her and would do that on a regular basis if needed. She cared about my dog and gave great advice. 5 + Star!

A.N. This vet office is amazing. My cat Sammy wasn't doing to well and had to be put to sleep. They are very kind and friendly and empathetic towards us, especially to my son. Great nurses, and vets.

M.L. Was recommended by a friend and for sure she was right, Dr. John O'Neil took great care of my Pomeranian with a very high knowledge about my dog condition. J.A.H. Dissatisfaction with my previous veterinary clinic led me to the Adamstown Veterinary Hospital. That was a very smart decision! When I walked in the door I was immediately welcomed and checked in by a friendly staff. Meeting Dr John and his assistant was a highlight of my day. They both had wonderful personalities and listened to my concerns about my little dog. They offered suggestions and answered every question I had. My dog had a thorough examination and I left with so much good information. They offered but never pushed vaccines or treatments that I did not feel comfortable with. I didn't feel rushed, and I no longer feel like a number in a waiting room. I finally found a veterinary clinic who really does care about my own personal opinions and the health of my sweet pup. I will be back!

K.O. Had my very tiny (2 lb) 7 month old pup spayed and had 9 persistent baby teeth removed by Dr Hernandez and staff. I was nervous given her size and previous issues with her. Dr Hernandez and every staff member I spoke with was compassionate, understanding, and reassuring. They kept me informed throughout the surgery day, reassuring me she was fine. Which this Mama needed. I got a follow up call on post op day 1 which was a Saturday. We were having an issue with pain control. Again staff on duty that day responded quickly and got what she needed to make her comfortable. Highly recommend!
