South Wilton Veterinary Group with 3 Vets located in Wilton, CT: AAHA-accredited, Board Certified doctors & hospital provide the finest care for your pet.

Midway Animal Hospital was founded in 1988 as a one veterinarian clinic operated out of a small renovated house. The founder, Dr. Rod Hardee, was the only vet at the time. He had a vision of a veterinary hospital that treats pets with the same level of medical care and attention given to human patients. It was his insight and dedication that brought Midway Animal Hospital to where it is today—a three veterinarian, full-service facility offering the most progressive and up-to-date treatments available.

N.C. We love Dr. Williamson and Jeremy! Staff was very nice and helpful, and even when you call wiht a question/issue - they always get back to you - which is a huge plus with a new puppy!
M.F. I wanted to say how pleased I was about coming here. From my first phone call with Becky to showing up at my appt an hour early because I live over an hour away. The staff was amazing they made us feel very welcome. The vet was just as amazing too she took all the time to talk to us and help us learn about our bearded dragon. I will say I am very please and I will drive the hour every 6 months to have our beardie leo checked.. Photo is or Leo after his checkup.
J.C.N.S. I had a nightmare experience with an "exotic pets" vet in my area. Ended up losing my chameleon. I was so happy to find South Wilton Vet (an hour away from home) when my leopard gecko was having issues. She is now on the mend and I couldn't be happier! Nicole Burns.
E.M. Very professional service affordable pricing and caring people Will recommend for exotic pets. My guinea pig was diagnosed very caring and professional.
M.S. Everyone was absolutely wonderful from the front staff to the veterinarian and I am so happy that they were referred to me. The tech and vet were so gentle with me guinea pig who had an injured leg and is also very skittish. However he looked like he enjoyed being there with them! The veterinarian was very thorough in explaining things and answering questions. She even took the time to answer questions non related to his injury as I am a new owner of two rescued cavies and I’m still learning. The vet and employees are all true animal lovers and it shows. I hope nothing else goes wrong with my pet but, if it does, I know he will be in very capable, caring hands. Their office will be my new go to for all of my vet needs!
B.W. I live with a companion bird. Birds are significantly different from dogs and cats in terms of body structure, respiration, etc. Most vets are comfortable with dogs and cats but have minimal knowledge and understanding of birds. Veterinary training devotes minimal attention to birds except, perhaps, barnyard fowl. My experience with board certified avian vets has been substantially less than I expected it to be. Specifically, the avian vets I've brought my bird to impressed as disinterested in "run of the mill" avian problems such as hormonally-inspired behavior and seemed to be looking/waiting for the case that would bring their years of extra training into play and be the stuff of which lead articles in prestigious avian journals. Any vet can call themself an "avian vet".. but that has little meaning if the vet doesn't routinely see at least 15-20 avian patients per week. Claire Fahy, DVM is an avian vet I respect and admire. She listens carefully, is highly comfortable with avian patients, and has access to a board certified avian vet if needed. She's followed my Cockatoo for several years including long periods of good health punctuated by 3 or 4 minor crises and one major crisis. She was excellent in addressing my bird's problems regardless of how big or little they were. I've recommended her to friends with birds. And I'm willing to drive 35 miles (one way) to the clinic in Wilton, CT.
A.B.H. I fell in love with this hospital DR will be leaving the practice sadly but she helped educate us on our pet dragon. And I already see improvements. My daughters and or beardy felt welcomed. The Doctor handled him with so much care. We absolutely do not mind driving the long drive to come here. Thank you a million times for the Dr and staff. We have never felt so welcomed and cared for like this in another place we’ve been to before. Thank you! Draco aka Laylah appreciates you.
