S.M. Overall, great staff that went above and beyond for my pet, and the price was extremely reasonable. The front desk staff who answered the call, the vet tech, and the doctor were great during a stressful time. The other 2 pet emergency clinics in Fresno had an 8-10 hour wait time, but 24/7 PetVets took my dog in immediately. I thought she had a rattlesnake bite, but the staff were able to confirm that it that was not the case. They still gave her treatment to reduce the swelling, pain, and risk of infection, and I was able to follow up the next day with my regular vet to get to the bottom of the injury. The individual waiting rooms also have instrumental music playing, which really helped calm my dog down, whereas normally she’d be pacing around and stressed to be in such a new environment. Hopefully I won’t return again, but if an emergency arises this is the first place I’d call.
M.P. You need to know two things. 1. The doctor is skilled enough to service your fur baby. 2. They are going to get every penny they can out of you so be prepared! It is the way it is.. Extra. The front office girl is sweet, even though I was regrettably rude to her! The nurse who came in to give us our first ballooned quote was immediately rude, I told her our budget and she scurried to talk to doctor if they could help. They came back with almost half the cost for the second quote. They still took us for the higher end of their quote (1700 for a couple stitches to a paw on a 85lb dog). But they did a good job!
I.S. This is my third time having the pleasure/need to visit your Office. Different fur baby. This time it was Papa, the Cat. Your front desk Lady (wish I asked her name) was absolutely awesome. Very efficient, very professional, knowledgeable and helpful. Your assistant was so sweet and gentle. Your Dr Shaw was also absolutely amazingly kind, caring, gentle and knowledgeable. Thank you for all your kindness. Papa agrees ?. Thank you, Isabella.
T.S. They have always been kind and compassionate to my animals in the case of emergencies. I had one get attacked by another dog and then later had to put down my best friend of 14 years. The staff even went to extra mile and sent me a card with her paw prints. Thank you to the team there you guys are amazing.
D.O. I took my cat fry, the Dr. Was so nice! I felt even my cat knew he was in a safe place, he didn’t try to run or anything. They were desalt welcoming, and they gave us great prices on everything. We left very happy knowing our fur baby was gunna be ok. Will definitely recommend 10/10.
J.D. Brought my 12-year-old border collie mix here who had been getting progressively sicker for the last week and it was clear to me she was needing emergency care or she didn't appear she would make it through the night. We came in at about 6:30 pm, and the front reception area took her into the back immediately and they were very nice. The doctors on duty were compassionate and caring and I could tell they didn't like telling me her prognosis, which was not good as it appeared to be bone cancer, and she was clearly in a lot of pain and going downhill with the temperature at 104 and a very high heart rate. Because she had no or little chance of a recovery they recommended humane euthanasia, which I agreed to. They let me stay in the room with her while they gave her the shots and I was able to say goodbye to my sweet friend that has been with me for 12 years. Staff overall was very kind and the only reason I removed one star was the price was over $1, 200, which seemed odd considering I'd had x-rays and tests at another veterinary clinic just the day before, and I brought all the paperwork with me from the previous examination, so I couldn't understand why I was being charged for essentially the very same tests again that weren't necessary. It is frustrating how so many veterinary clinics in Fresno seem to price gauge and upsell the clients, especially in a town with such a poor economy with many, many poor people. $1, 200 seems high for an outcome of a dead animal. But it is what it is.
