S.R. I was very impressed with Erlanger Veterinary Hospital. Everyone. was friendly and helpful. Dr. Schumann was very thorough and took the time to explain everything and offer advice when needed. Would recommend this Hospital and it's staff to anyone in need of care for their animal.
C.L. I want to thank EVERY member of the staff for all the love and compassion they showed me during such a difficult time. My sweet dog was attacked and rushed in and they immediately responded not only to him but made sure to take the time to comfort me during such a traumatic situation. the outcome was not what i had hoped it would be for my sweet Ty but the way the Dr. and his staff did everything possible, i couldn’t have asked for a better team. they allowed all the time i needed to be with him before surgery and allowed me to come and say my final goodbyes to him. i’m so thankful for that because he looked so peaceful and pain free in our last moments together. the staff arranged for his cremation and when i picked up his remains they even gave me a clay mold paw print of my sweet boy. he was the best dog and we shared the most joyous 14yrs together. thank you again to all the staff for the love and support and understanding they showed me and my family. 5 stars is just not enough for you and all you do for our pets.
G.W. Nothing but amazing! The vet Tony is outstanding! I have 4 dogs I take there. I've had two major surgeries on two of my dogs and came out perfecto! The lady's at the front desk are super nice and great with my dogs. My dogs actually enjoy going there always. Love this place and the people!
A.L. I took my Jack Russel Terrier here for his first vet appointment, I was very nervous knowing he is very nervous in new places and does not get along well with other animals. Before I even got finished filling out his new patient paperwork Brew and I were getting called into the exam room! He was very nervous and hard to keep calm, but the techs were so friendly and understanding. They gave several recommendations on how to keep Brew calm and ways I can teach him to not be scared/aggressive toward other animals. Overall I was extremely happy with my visit. They made me feel like they really cared about him!
A.S. HIGHLY RECOMMEND! I had a rabbit named jay jay, it was my sons second rabbit. I came home from running errands one day and saw that he was essentially unresponsive and just barely clinging to life. I rushed him to EVH and they took him back as soon as I walked through the doors. They were very attentive, as well as caring. Unfortunately, our little guy was beyond saving. I recently had a brain operation and on a leave of absence from work making about half of my normal pay. As a single mom, I was struggling financially at the moment. EVH understood my position and offered to euthanize without charge so that he would not suffer through the end of his little life. I couldn’t have asked for a better team and I am so glad that I decided to take him there regardless of the outcome. They made a difficult situation as good as possible. To top it off, about three days later, we received a package in the mail and it was his paw prints and name in an ornament (pictured with review). If you need a team that goes above and beyond, this is absolutely the place to go. I’m so grateful for this team. I will recommend them from here on out!
S.S. I rescue and adopt senior dogs. When I got my Newfoundland Mix, he was 12 years old and in bad shape. From cracked toenails and infected eyeballs, to skin infections and regular checkups, Erlanger Vet Hospital saw my pup on a regular basis. They gave the best medical care they could to keep my old pup happy and comfortable. From day one, Shadow was cared and loved by Dani. When I came to the decision to put Shadow down, I was hysterical. All of the doctors and technicians who came through the room, gave me nothing but comfort. Dani was there until the very end, loving and holding Shadow through his catheter and carrying him in from the back when he couldn’t walk. She was the one who took the phone call and cried with me over the phone, and she said she made sure she was there the next day when I brought him in. She went above and beyond for my pup, as did all of the Vets who had treated him that day and before then. The doctor who did the procedure (I didn’t catch his name) did a fantastic job at explaining what to expect during the procedure before it happened. Everyone who was there the day I put Shadow down was nothing but kind and empathetic towards me. I cannot thank Dani and the whole team enough for holding my hand during one of the worst moments.
S.P. TL;DR - TAKE YOUR PETS HERE AND TRUST THIS STAFF. They will give your pets the best treatment possible.. This has taken me time to write - where do I begin?. My husband and I just moved from the west side of Cincinnati to the area. Mid-move, we took our Shiba Inu here for his check up as we were trying to feel out for a new vet in the area. My husband LOVED how they treated our dog and how kind they were to him in giving him all the info he needed as a new customer.. In the meantime, our Great Pyrenees was becoming much less active and sad. :( She was born with a bad leg that never had the chance to be corrected, so when this first came on, we just figured she was getting old or having leg issues. However, through quarantine, my husband worked and I mostly stayed at home. I seen how sad she was, but when he would get home she would perk up as if she was hiding it from him.. Our vet on the west side had just taken a tennis-ball sized tumor off her chin and had the tumor tested and said it was benign. For about a week, she seemed much happier to have that weight off her. That's when she started becoming very sad. We decided to take her to Erlanger Vet Hospital. She could barely walk at this point and the wonderful staff offered to have the vet come outside to check her out.. It took him about ten seconds of feeling her leg to accurately diagnose her with extreme bone cancer and he said that's why she was in pain. Two lovely nurses came out with a stretcher to take her back to get an x-ray to just verify what the vet said.. It was exactly as he said, she was full of tumors and it was hindering her breathing as well as her walking and many other things. With that said, he didn't immediately rush to putting her down, but she did have a fever and some other issues.. This was my husband's baby and he was in a bit of denial. We decided to put her down, but my husband selfishly didn't want to do it before he went to work because he knew he would be a wreck. I have to 100% commend the vet here because he said exactly what needed to be said, and he did NOT care about our feelings at all, he only had our baby's best interest in heart. On the business side, that could be construed in a negative light, but he said what my husband NEEDED to hear. I had told him those things before we went in, but he needed to hear that from the vet - no matter how hard that was to hear.. The staff were compassionate, helpful and caring. Right before we put her down, one of the assistants (I believe) told us that we were doing the right thing and that just hit us in such a way that has stuck with us. We had already been asking ourselves if we should be doing it or if we could do more. So thank you 1000 times to your staff.. They gave us a little time to compose ourselves before we left as my husband was in denial that putting her down was even a possibility before arriving.. They work with an amazing cremation service, Faithful Companion, and we got our dog's ashes back the next day and it was beautifully done.. It also makes me happy to see a vet that takes more than just dogs and cats.
